343 Industries is still toiling away on Halo Infinite’s multiplayer component, which has seen a host of troubles since launch. Some positive changes have been made, such as tweaks to the game’s store. Issues persist, but the company announced late last week that changes are on the way. Big Team Battle, or BTB, has been busted since December. The recent hotfix didn’t cut it, but the team is hoping for a better turnaround....
Three new games are now available on Xbox One backward compatibility. Halo Wars, which was previously only available to Xbox One preview members, is now available to all users, as are downloadable fighters Soulcalibur 2 HD Online and The King of Fighters 98: Ultimate Match. If you own any of them digitally, head to My Games & Apps to install them or insert the Halo Wars disc. The new titles follow the launch of Dark Souls and Tekken Tag Tournament 2 on Xbox One backward compatibility last week....

This past weekend during the Hearthstone Grandmasters, Ng Wai “blitzchung” Chung appeared in a post-match interview to call for the liberation of Hong Kong from the Communist Party of China. Today Blizzard responded to Chung’s comments by banning him from Hearthstone esports for an entire year, removing him from Grandmasters, and rescinding any prizes from Grandmasters Season 2. According to Blizzard, Chung violated Hearthstone Grandmasters rules with his comments about Hong Kong’s liberation....

A first look at the Halo 5: Guardians campaign was revealed at E3 earlier today, showing off the game’s cooperative action. The debut gameplay shows Spartan Locke and Fireteam Osiris in the mission “Battle of Sunaion,” as they pursue the Master Chief and Blue Team on the planet Sanghelios. Halo 5’s campaign will offer a seamless drop-in/out online cooperative gameplay experience on dedicated servers, plus sophisticated teammate AI when it’s needed....
