Pre-orders are now open for the many different editions of God of War Ragnarök - the most expensive of which, the Jotnar Edition, is priced at £230. Halo: Reach kickstarts Halo: The Master Chief Collection. On a brand new episode of GameTrailersTV Bungie dropped some new details on yet another multiplayer mode that would be playable in the Halo: Reach beta when it becomes available in a few short weeks. The new multiplayer mode has been titled “Invasion” and will only take place on the map “Boneyard” - which will apparently feature tons of vehicles. The mode is said to be similar to that of Battlefield: Bad Company 2’s “Rush” mode - with multi-tiered level unlocks that appear in three phases....
343 Industries has brought back the Samurai-themed Fracture: Tenrai event to Halo Infinite‘s multiplayer, with a few tweaks. This time the limited-time event is running from now until January 11, and the studio has made changes to improve progression following negative feedback from players last time around. First off, players will be able to progress ten tiers of their event pass rather than seven. As explained via the Halo Waypoint blog, you’ll still have to play multiple weeks to unlock everything....
Hats off to Master Chief, as Microsoft has announced a whopping 20 million players have played Halo Infinite since launch. The figure was revealed during the company’s latest Q2 earnings call, as noted by The Verge. Developer 343 Industries later confirmed the number on the official Halo Twitter account. It also added that the milestone means the latest game boasts the most successful launch in the series history. Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella would add positive notes for another Xbox exclusive too....
Everything about the Harry Potter universe is magical. The spells are enchanting, Hogwarts is breathtaking, the wizarding world at large is awe-inspiring, and the series is engaging to the end. All these amazing factors help us ignore the shortcomings of the novels and movies. And you should focus on the positive; the point of the material is to bring a level of whimsy and responsibility. It’s only if you happen to be a writer who focuses on the little things when you should consider the ridiculous elements of Harry Potter....
Square Enix’s forthcoming farming sim Harvestella is the first of the publisher’s games to offer a non-binary gender option in a character creator. It’s still something of a rarity for major game developers to specifically include non-binary representation in addition to male and female. But for the Harvestella team, its inclusion feels “completely normal”, producer Daisuke Taka told Eurogamer. “I think it’s completely normal these days for non-binary to be included in gender selection,” Taka said....
