Google has begun the long process of refunding all Stadia customers for their hardware, games and in-game purchases - something it hopes to have completed by 18th January 2023, the date Stadia servers are switched off. Google will attempt to refund you for most things you bought to do with Stadia - except for the Stadia Pro subscription. It’ll keep your money for that. Refunds will be processed and paid to the payment service you used to pay for them in the first place....

Today Sony Interactive Entertainment and Polyphony Digital revealed an upcoming Gran Turismo 7 collaboration with streetwear brand Anti Social Social Club. Grand Theft Auto 5 is on its way to the PlayStation 5, in its “expanded and enhanced” edition. “Grand Theft Auto 5 for PlayStation 5 will feature a range of technical improvements, visual upgrades, and performance enhancements to take full advantage of the console’s powerful new hardware, making the game more beautiful and more responsive than ever,” said Rockstar Games in the announcement. CD Projekt Red’s new mobile game, Gwent: The Witcher Card Game, is now available on iOS after being previously released on Xbox One, PS4, and Microsoft Windows last year. Fans of The Witcher series will recognize the game as the same one that appeared in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, and they’ll now have the chance to play it on a mobile platform. The game of Gwent originally appeared in The Witcher novels written by Andrej Sapowski, and was later adapted into The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, where players were able to collect various cards and challenge NPCs throughout the game’s massive map....

Halo Infinite’s early December campaign launch saw the arrival of a massively anticipated title that delivered on many levels, but couldn’t shake many of the technical issues we highlighted throughout the preview/flighting process. Defiant Development announced that it is ‘ceasing development’ of video games in a Facebook post yesterday. Defiant is best-known for its synergistic, roguelike, deck-building, role-playing Hand of Fate, which released on PC, Playstation 4 and Xbox One in 2014. The sequel, Hand of Fate 2, came out three years later, in 2017. The studio explained that the uniqueness of its games, though well-loved by fans and critics, generated significant risks: ‘We set out without knowing where the journey will take us, and we do so knowing that the unknown is not always safe....

Starfield’s delay was some of the biggest news to come this year, but alas not a surprise. After all, we had only been shown concept art with every teaser so far. Thankfully though, we now have our first look at some actual gameplay. The gameplay starts off on the mysterious moon of Kreet and sees robot companion VASCO making his way out of the starship. Then, of course, we see some aliens, other space things and some combat....

Early leaks hinted that a new Hitman title was indeed on the verge of being announced. IO Interactive had since parted ways with longtime publisher Square Enix, further complicating the situation. Today, WB Games confirmed Hitman 2 and that the company would be publishing the title. Hitman 2 is primed for release on November 18, 2018. There are currently six different locations identified for Hitman 2. Miami and other “international” locations are up for grabs....
