PlayStation 4 exclusive, God of War, was one of 2018’s best video games, equally deserving of the Game of the Year honor it received at The Game Awards. The large-scale game was highly praised by fans and critics alike, but according to the game’s director, the game somehow could have been even bigger. In a video interview posted by No Clip, God of War Director Cory Barlog said that numerous bosses were cut from the game due to their massive size....

GOG has put up another of its Grand RPG Sale promotions, featuring over 250 discounted games. The price range runs the gamut, from bargain bin buys to some more recent releases, up to a full 90% off. Today Cygames announced that its upcoming JRPG Granblue Fantasy Relink has been delayed once more. The game, which is coming to PS4, PS4, and PC, will be released in 2023, as you can read in the announcement below. At least we get to see the summoning of Bahamut executed by heroine Lyria together with Gran, with voice acting both in English and in Japanese. We also hear that further news will be shared this year in December, likely at the annual Granblue Fantasy Fes event, as mentioned in a more detailed message from producer Yuito Kimura....

The world of Grand Theft Auto V is absolutely massive. Quite frankly, it’s amazing that this was made for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Not only is it large in scale, but it is dense. For over a decade, a screen adaptation of the Halo franchise has floated around from studio to studio. But finally it’s actually happening. The Stephen Spielberg produced Showtime TV series is well into development, having been originally announced in 2013. The series is set to premiere in early 2021. It’s been nearly six years now since the last Halo game from 343 Industries came out. Let that sink in. Five years after being officially announced and after plenty of reassurances it was not dead, it looks like the long-awaited Halo TV series from Steven Spielberg’s production company Amblin Television is finally going ahead at Showtime with ten episodes ordered to go into production next year. As per the announcement on Xbox Wire, the Halo show will have Kyle Killen of Awake fame serving as executive producer, writer and showrunner while Rise of the Planet of the Apes’ Rupert Wyatt will also executive produce and direct several of the hour-long episodes for the company....

HBO’s The Last of Us series has been a complete smash hit, excellently adapting the game while altering things just enough to keep the experience fresh. If you have yet to get into the series but are interested in checking it out, the first episode has been added to YouTube. Though be warned, it’s not available for everyone. Last May, developer Ion Lands got fans of its gorgeous Blade-Runner-esque delivery thriller Cloudpunk a little bit giddy with the announcement of new life-sim spin-off Nivalis, and now, a little over a year on, the developer has given a first look at the game in action. Cloudpunk, which released back in 2020, was an experience I enjoyed a lot after it received a number of much-needed post-launch nips and tucks, revelling in the chance to play out all my Blade Runner fantasies by careening around its stunningly designed, neon-drenched futuristic city of Nivalis in my trusty flying car....

The long-awaited Sports Story just got a new trailer during Nintendo’s Indie World Showcase that aired earlier today, and it has sports. Sports Story is a sequel to Golf Story that was first announced during an Indie World Showcase in Dec. 2019. While it was planned for a mid-2020 release date, Sports Story was later delayed, and no substantial news about its whereabouts had surfaced until today. Nintendo ended the Indie World Showcase with a brand-new trailer for Sports Story and confirmed that it would finally be released in Dec....

This summer’s Hitman: Agent 47 movie will be supported by a prequel comic book which leads directly into the plot of the film, states The Hollywood Reporter. 20th Century Fox has partnered with comic publisher Boom! Studios to create a single comic which sees Agent 47 hunting a deadly adversary. The story will lead directly into the movie. F.J. DeSanto wrote the comic, with art from Jesus Hervas. The cover is by Toni Infante....

Fortnite returned from its temporary black hole-induced hiatus only two days ago, and when it did it brought with it a fresh slate of side-missions for players to tackle. Again, that was only two days ago, yet here we are, getting a whole new batch of challenges today. Longtime players probably won’t be too confused by this, since it’s been Epic Games’ habit to add new weekly missions and other content to Fortnite every Thursday for quite a while now....
