With the amount of rewards and new features provided throughout each one, players almost always have an enjoyable experience during these occasions. A particularly creative event that provides an abundance of rewards is the Reboot Rally, which was first introduced in the previous chapter. Epic Games has fired a heart-shaped arrow at Fortnite’s Battle Royale mode, offering up a rose-scented box of treats in preparation for Valentine’s Day next week. Fortnite update 2.4.2 offers up a number of extras for PS4, PC, and Xbox One players, including a Crossbow that allows you to put old-fashioned stealth tactics to good use when hunting your quarry. What’s more, its arrows come in unlimited supply and the weapon is available in both Rare and Epic flavours....

As part of the Chapter 3 Season 2 update for Fortnite, developer Epic Games trialed a radical gameplay redesign. For the last week, all building in Fortnite was disabled, forcing players to rely on movement and gunplay alone. Following a successful week of testing and feedback, Epic has opted to permanently introduce Zero Build variations of all core game modes in Fortnite. That means Solos, Duos, Trios, and Squads can now all be enjoyed with building disabled....

Following the reveal of Version 2.5 of Genshin Impact, developer HoYoverse published a new trailer featuring the new character coming with the update, Yae Miko. This time around we get to see a bit of gameplay unlike the previous trailer featuring Yae Miko, even if the focus remains firmly on establishing her as a character. The Morn a Thousand Roses Brings is the name of the Chapter 3 Act 2 Archon Quest in Genshin Impact. This part of the main storyline in Genshin Impact was added in the 3.0 update, along with Sumeru, the nation of scholars and wisdom. The entire quest takes place in Sumeru City, and while there isn’t much combat, there is a new ‘contemplation’ mechanic that requires you to work out just what exactly is occurring in this strange questline....

Square Enix is giving away free PC copies of Hitman 2: Silent Assassin to celebrate the series’ 15th anniversary. Gwent: The Witcher Card Game has a long and convoluted history. It started as a brilliant minigame in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, which was so popular that fans started asking for a standalone PvP version. Actually, they even started making their own, and at one point there were dozens of them. Then, in late 2016, CD Projekt RED started a closed beta for the official standalone Gwent. It went through two grueling years in beta before it finally released last year in October....

Marcus Lehto has announced on Twitter that he has joined EA. The new Electronic Arts game director is best known for being one of the co-creators of Halo. Lehto’s new beginnings at EA will see him form a new studio based in the Seattle area. Although the specifics are currently unknown, Lehto’s tweet does give us some idea of what he is going to be working on. He states that his new studio will “[work] on first person-games,” which makes sense given his prolific background in that field....

Halo Infinite‘s multiplayer open beta launched yesterday, giving players their first taste of what it’s all about. For the most part, the community has been happy with it. It’s certainly less buggy than its two main competitors, Call of Duty: Vanguard and Battlefield 2042. However, complaints regarding how slow the Battle Pass is in Halo Infinite have been flooding the game’s official Reddit. As highlighted by this tongue-in-cheek post from l7arkSpirit, a lot of Halo Infinite players are unhappy with the current battle pass progression....
