After months of speculation, leaks and rumours, EA has finally revealed the next installment of the Need for Speed in a swanky new trailer. Need for Speed Unbound is lush with an anime aesthetic that’s combined with the grungy street racing vibes of early Need for Speed games. The trailer features American rapper A$AP Rocky, who is heard narrating in the beginning of the trailer before finishing off with what appears to be a brand-new track from the rapper....

2K is back with another addition to the basketball video game series, NBA 2K23. The game comes as an upgrade on the graphics from the previous version. While gameplay also has some changes, 2K23 is one of the versions of NBA worth trying. Turn-based strategy spin-off Hitman GO is to release on PS4, PS Vita and Steam next Tuesday, February 23, Square Enix has announced. [UPDATE: The publisher now says the game will arrive in Europe on Wednesday, February 24.] Hitman GO: Definitive Edition features all the content from the original mobile title, including its DLC add-ons, remastered with “updated visuals”. The PS4/Vita versions will also support Cross-Buy and Cross-Save meaning you’ll be able to play it across both platforms without needing to buy it twice, and continue your progress on either platform....

Edens Zero and Fairy Tail creator Hiro Mashima is a big gamer but turns out he also knows a thing or two about making games. Today he released a game he created on his own titled “Rebecca to kikai no youkan,” which translates as “Rebecca and the Mansion of Machines.” The game is made with RPG Maker and it’s defined as a “mystery-solving escape adventure game.” It puts the player in control of Rebecca from Edens Zero, with the mission to escape a mansion full of traps alongside Happy and Pino....

The answer is of course Beethoven, and I can prove it. “Never liked the guy,” says one achievement in Trombone Champ. Nintendo looks set to release Gold and Silver versions of its Super Mario series Mario amiibo figure, according to new CPSIA certificates spotted by The Tanooki. The documentation indicates the figures were manufactured during December and January. However, there hasn’t yet been any word from Nintendo in relation to launching the new figures. It also isn’t clear how the gold and silver Marios will be sold, with some suggesting that they could be offered as a last hurrah for Club Nintendo members....

In 2019, Google first unveiled its cloud streaming service, Stadia, spearheading a new venture to muscle its way into the video game industry. Today, though, the company has announced its throwing in the towel — Stadia is destined to become yet another bullet point on the company’s long list of failed projects.
