It was recently revealed that filmmaker James Gunn was to become co-chairman and co-CEO of DC Studios alongside Peter Safran. Their new roles would see the overall creative direction of films, TV and animation for the DC Universe united under a single banner. But, it now looks like this is also going to include any future games, with Warner Bros Discovery head David Zaslav recently expressing his excitement for the new structure Gunn and Safran would bring to the studio along with their appointment....

Genshin Impact‘s version 1.5 update presents a new challenge for Travelers. It involves progressing further in Zhongli’s story quest, “Historia Antiqua Chapter: Act 2,” until you reach a sealed cavern. There, the group will do battle against Azhdaha. This first encounter is fairly easy since Zhongli acts as a guest character (fifth party member), and an NPC even heals the group when needed. After completing the quest, though, you’ll be able to battle the stone dragon on your own (or with randoms via matchmaking)....

It’s always a nice change of pace to find a game with a not-so-serious tone. One where you can do something silly and which doesn’t involve splattering Nazi brains. In this case, that game is called Georifters, a bubbly-looking multiplayer game where you shoot wads of gum. These, of course, have a purpose – in this case, you use the gum to move the world around you in order to solve puzzles, reach platforms, or avoid danger altogether....

Ubisoft is not done with Ghost Recon Wildlands as they reveal plans for further game content. New free content is planned for the campaign and the Ghost War PvP mode and the first major update will release on 10 April called Special Operation 1. This is the first of four planned free content updates called Special Operations that are being released. Special Operation 1 will include the following new content....

Intel CEO Pat Gelsinger believes the global chip shortage will continue into 2024. Speaking to CNBC, Gelsinger said the shortage could continue due to constrained availability of key manufacturing tools. “That’s part of the reason that we believe the overall semiconductor shortage will now drift into 2024, from our earlier estimates in 2023, just because the shortages have now hit equipment and some of those factory ramps will be more challenged,” he said....

Dara O Brian’s Go 8 Bit, a new six episode game show based on the Edinburgh show of the same name, will begin Monday, September 5 on Dave. With the second season of the Goblin Slayer anime hitting sometime this year, a new teaser trailer has been released to serve as a season two promo, giving plenty of goblin slaying action. Sadly, the trailer is light on information, as no further story details or a premiere date outside of the 2023 window are revealed. The series had a pretty wide gap between releases, as the first season came out five years ago in 2018....

It’s looking increasingly likely that an unannounced HD version of GoldenEye 007 for Xbox could become ‘announced’ later this week. The classic N64 FPS has been pegged for an Xbox port for some time now. However, over the weekend internet news sleuth Wario64 (spotted by VGC) has now found the achievement data publicly viewable on Xbox’s website. The discovery has lead many to believe the remaster could be announced this week....

Cygames released a very brief clip of the upcoming JRPG Granblue Fantasy Relink to celebrate the New Year. While the clip is really short, it does show the visuals of the game, and intriguingly, the wind effect on Gram’s clothes, as he’s flying on the Grandcypher. You can check it out below. Incidentally, the tweet mentions that the team is working hard on the last spurt of development, asking fans to wait for a little while longer until the game can be released....

Grand Theft Auto 4 can no longer be download via Steam, and Rockstar says that the problem lies with the outdated Games for Windows Live system. “Grand Theft Auto 4 was originally created for the Games For Windows Live platform,” says Rockstar via a statement. “With Microsoft no longer supporting Games For Windows Live, it is no longer possible to generate the additional keys needed to continue selling the current version of the game....

Free-to-play battle royale title H1Z1 is getting buffed later this month with a massive 50-player free-for-all Deathmatch mode, developer Daybreak Games has announced. The new mode will be rolled out as part of the Beyond Royale expansion, and revolves around 15-minute matches with instant respawns and a kill target of 25. Players arrive in a pretty confined space, so expect the brown stuff to hit the fan pretty sharpish. Speaking with Eurogamer, H1Z1 producer Paul Matthys commented, ‘Broadly speaking, we see FFA as our first opportunity this season to experiment with fun, fast-paced game modes that offer our players new gameplay types outside the traditional core battle royale modes H1Z1 is known for....

In 2014, Hal0 co-creator Marcus Lehto left Bungie to start a new studio and begin a brand new project. That studio turned out to be called V1 interactive and that game is going to be Disintegration, a character-based shooter that is getting a beta later this month. Lehto spent 15 years working at Bungie as the art director on Halo: Combat Evolved, Halo 2 and Halo 3. Now he has revealed the working conditions at Bungie that caused him to leave....

343 Industries has released a patch for Halo Infinite, making some tweaks to the beloved Warthog. The new patch makes a number of tweaks and changes, chief among them a beefing up of the way the Warthog handles. As per the official patch notes (thanks PC Gamer), the vehicle is now heavier: “General sentiment was that the Warthog was taking the bumps in the road rougher than it should. Instead of absorbing these bumps, the vehicle would either twist or roll a frustrating amount....

I have a bit of a soft spot for stop motion animation. This will immediately age me, but as a kid I used to play VHS tapes featuring Wallace and Gromit over and over. I’m surprised they kept working after all the abuse. To this day, I still make references to cheese and incorrect pants. With my love of the animation style, it makes sense that a game like Harold Halibut couldn’t escape my eye....

HBO’s The Last of Us series will include familiar and fresh faces from the game, with its co-creator confirming that a new character will be shown in the show (via games radar). He also mentioned a mystery character who seems to have a four-letter name. It’s anyone’s guess who this person is, but because the series is taking from the first game, we could do some sleuthing. Some suggest that this character is Anna....

Yesterday, a leak surfaced online claiming that developer Tango Gameworks had a new game called Hi-Fi Rush in the works. @BillbilKun, the Twitter user who posted the leak, suggested that players could see an official reveal of this game during today’s Xbox and Bethesda Developer Direct. This prediction turned out completely accurate, as today’s Developer Direct showed a flashy debut gameplay trailer as well as an in-depth look at Hi-Fi Rush in action....

It’s Tuesday, which means another Fortnite update is now available to download to tide you over for the rest of the week, and it comes packing a Sneaky Snowman. This frosty fella is basically a way to disguise yourself, allowing you to sneak in close to your opponent while remaining as inconspicuous as possible. Unless someone spots you, in which case it must look hilarious seeing a snowman running about the place....

The next season of Fortnite – Chapter 3 Season 4 – is almost upon us. It’s entitled Paradise, and will see the battle royale favourite taken over by the mysterious substance known as Chrome. The new website went live last weekend for the new season. The site also confirmed previous rumours, with the update set to go live early on Sunday morning.
