It’s almost easy to forget that version 2.8 of Genshin Impact will release next week after an endless barrage of leaks — and the fact that version 2.7 is still ongoing. While fans cross their arms waiting for Sumeru, we still have a full update to get through. Fortunately, it looks like version 2.8 is full of fun and exciting adventures for Genshin Impact players, including a new character and a temporary islands for travelers to explore on July 13....

Today Take-Two Interactive Software announced an update for sales of its blockbusters for Grand Theft Auto V and Red Dead Redemption 2 during its quarterly financial conference call. We learn that Red Dead Redemption 2 has shipped over 44 million units worldwide. Grand Theft Auto V has passed 165 million shipments. Historically, the Grand Theft Auto series has now shipped over 375 million units cumulatively. The Red Dead Redemption franchise has shopped over 67 million units cumulatively....

It’s been a little over a year since Rockstar Games released its compilation of Grand Theft Auto’s earliest hits, Grand Theft Auto III, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. Dubbed the GTA: The Trilogy – Definitive Edition, the compilation launched only for consoles and via the Rockstar Launcher in Nov. 2021, with the latter causing a bit of a commotion amongst PC players. The trilogy is now ready for all PC players, as today marks its debut on the Steam storefront....

Developer Amanita Design has unveiled its next project, a psychedelic horror adventure known, perhaps somewhat ironically, as Happy Game. Playing as an as-yet-unnamed little boy who falls asleep only to have a terrible nightmare, the debut trailer was revealed during last night’s Nintendo Indie World event. Featuring plenty of unsettling visuals, the video shows off some of the promised “deeply disturbing” puzzles that you’ll be attempting to solve across three unique worlds....

Last week, I detailed some of the small deviations HBO’s adaptation of The Last of Us is making from the game. However, over the weekend a fairly big change came to light - in HBO’s take on the series, the Cordyceps infection will not be spread by spores in the air. Rather, it will be able to spread by “tendrils” that can become a “network that is interconnected”. During an interview with Collider, co-creators Neil Druckmann and Craig Mazin spoke more about pandemics generally, and how the infection would be depicted in the show....

As mentioned earlier, Genshin Impact developer miHoYo has finally added a brand new story-driven quest called ‘Hangout Events’, providing players an opportunity to spend their quality time with four beautiful characters — Barbara, Noelle, Bennett, and Chongyun. Notably, each character requires you to have one Story key, which can be acquired by completing Daily Commissions.
