With the coming of Pokémon Day, the Guinness Book of World Records has decided that there’s no better time to list some of the Pokémon that have made their way into the hallowed halls of their record books. The list is fairly straightforward, with many of the records just noting things that only exist in-game. For instance, it lists the fastest Pokémon (Deoxys, with a base speed of 180), the heaviest Pokémon (a tie between Cosmoem and Celesteela, which each weigh 999....

Halo 5: Guardians will have microtransactions, 343 Industries has confirmed, and fans aren’t too pleased with the announcement. The new currency is formed under a Requisition System (REQ), which works across both of the new multiplayer modes: Warzone and Arena. 343 Industries development chief Josh Holmes provided more details on the system in a post on Halo Waypoint, as well as attempting to allay fears about how it will affect balancing....

343 Industries has unveiled the latest roadmap for Halo Infinite, revealing campaign co-op is still a good few months away. The studio shared the latest update ahead of next week’s release of Season Two Lone Wolves. Said new season will last all the way until November, with the long-awaited mode currently targeting a late August release. The roadmap also unveiled some dates for some other additions that will come during the upcoming season....

It looks like Killer Instinct Season 3 is getting a second guest character, with Halo’s Arbiter teased in the game’s latest trailer. A trailer promoting the inclusion of Kim Wu in Season 3 ends with a brief glimpse of a Halo-themed stage and Master Chief’s mate, The Arbiter, indicating the alien warrior will join Battletoads’ Rash as a guest character in the imminent third season. Also confirmed for Killer Instinct Season 3 are Tusk and Gargos....

Turn 10 Studios describes the newest Forza Motorsport as a “reimagining” of the successful simulation racing series. The game was announced in yesterday’s Xbox Games Showcase, and showed off some really shiny cars. The developer took to Xbox Wire to shed a little light on the new Forza Motorsport, and how the core elements of “cars, competition, and creativity” will be brought into the next generation. “The Xbox Series X, with its focus on speed and power, provides us the opportunity to connect our players to the Forza universe, and to one another, like never before,” said creative director Dan Greenawalt....

Titan Books will release four Mass Effect novels tied in to the upcoming Mass Effect Andromeda, a release by the publisher relating to the the earlier March London Book Fair has revealed. New novels are planned beginning in August 2016, with the final novel set for March 2018. These dates may change given the release is based on the then planned late 2016 launch of Andromeda – now set for early 2017....

The mystery Pokémon that was revealed during the recent twenty-four-hour livestream for Pokémon Sword & Shield has been confirmed as the Galarian version of Ponyta. However, the type of Ponyta is not what fans expected. The Pokémon series introduced the concept of regional forms in Pokémon Sun & Moon, with established Pokémon having different appearances and types due to the tropical climate of the Alola region. The Galar region from Pokémon Sword & Shield is having a similar effect on Pokémon, except that the changes are based on a big injection of pure Britishness, with Galarian Weezing gaining top hats....
