Today, during the Nintendo Direct, it was revealed that a Pixar and Disney racing game would be arriving on the Nintendo Switch and other platforms this summer. Titled Disney SpeedStorm, the game will include loads of characters and locations throughout the catalog of animated movies and television shows that the companies have, and will feature online multiplayer. Disney SpeedStorm will be free-to-play and will also include cross-platform play, so you can race against your friends on other platforms....
Valve has published its annual Year in Review post detailing the growth of Steam over the course of 2019, and things seem to be going very well for the platform. Among the statistics shared are the fact that customers played over 20 billion hours of games on Steam in 2019. The number of monthly active users has also risen to nearly 95 million. Valve further states that the 2019 Steam winter sale was the “most successful sale ever,” generating more revenue for game developers than 2018....
The 3.1 Update of Genshin Impact is out and it has brought us loads of different new things to try in the already massive open-world of Teyvat. Besides the new weapons, quests and areas to explore, the MMORPG has added three new Domains. These are the Garden of Endless Pillars, Red Desert Threshold and the Altar of Mirages. It’s like Halloween and Christmas have arrived on the very same day! Epic Games has made SOMA free to download on PC until November 7th, 2019. It’s been four years since this gem of survival horror was released but it seems to get revived periodically. The first came in 2017 with the release of a Safe Mode in which enemies cannot hurt the protagonist, and now there’s this giveaway. SOMA was developed by Frictional Games -the same studio responsible for the legendary Amnesia: The Dark Descent and the terrifying Penumbra series- and has received a similar standard of praise....

That’s right, Gotham Knight’s release date has been moved up from its Oct. 25 release date to Oct. 21. While the celebrated writer has remained wary of committing to a monthly superhero book in the years since his turn on Action Comics in 2011-2012, he is still one of the most influential creators in the publisher’s stable. His 2014 limited series, The Multiversity, redefined how the central multiversal concept of the DC Universe operates, and it has echoed through recent books by other writers, including last year’s Dark Nights: Metal and the current ongoing Justice League series, but he still has plenty of work to do with some of DC’s heaviest hitters....
Battle royale behemoth H1Z1 is coming to the PlayStation 4 as a free-to-play title next month, Daybreak Games has announced. Originally released for the PC, H1Z1 has been completely reimagined for its release on Sony’s home console, and includes a revamped user interface, a new weapon progression system, plus a wealth of extra weapons and gear. In addition, the PS4 version has a control scheme that has been ’tailor-made’ to keep players plugging away at the action, while the loot system has been simplified with a grab-and-go equipment feature....
There appears to be some contention around whether or not Alyx - protagonist in the recently-announced VR game Half-Life: Alyx - should have arms to accompany her hands. Mushroom fans rejoice! HBO has confirmed its critically acclaimed live-action TV adaptation of The Last of Us will be returning for a second season.
