Fortnite’s Chapter 2 Season 2 is all about the spy theme, with super villain mini bosses and players disguising themselves in phone booths. This week, Fortnite added secret passages hidden in dumpsters and port-o-potties all over the map. It’s officially been a year since the launch of Forza Motorsport 7. Since then, the racing simulator has grown extensively thanks to a steady stream of content and quality-of-life updates. Still, Motorsport 7 was mostly well-received at launch—albeit for one caveat: its pseudo-lootbox system. Now, after the sim’s one-year anniversary, it’ll be kicking these lootboxes to the curb. They will be replaced by a new Race Shop feature. Dubbed ‘Driver Crates’, these item boxes function very similar to how lootboxes work in other games....

Yesterday, former Claptrap voice actor David Eddings accused Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford of physical assault. Talking to PCGamer, Gearbox responded to those allegations earlier today. But although the company is taking it all so seriously, it did not provide an official comment. The International Olympic Committe has announced it will be holding its first ever ‘Olympic Virtual Series’ next month featuring a number of virtual sports including Polyphony Digital’s Gran Turismo. As per the announcement, the event—the first ever officially Olympic-licensed event of its kind—will commence on May 13 through to June 23 and will be a five-event digital series that aims to “connect the physical sporting world with the virtual and simulation sports gaming community”....

Grand Theft Auto radio host Lazlow Jones has left Rockstar Games (via PC Gamer). The prolific writer, producer, director, voice actor, and radio personality actually left the company in April 2020, according to his LinkedIn profile. No specific reason was supplied, and now, Jones is working on a number of projects within the entertainment industry. Among these are a Disney show and a Netflix show, as well as acting as a consultant for an unnamed video game studio....
