GameStop is changing up its PowerUp Rewards program. Previously, GameStop PowerUp Rewards Pro members were able to get a 10% discount on used games, but that’s being replaced with a $5 monthly coupon that can be spent on almost anything in the store. Additionally, any new PowerUp Rewards Pro level subscribers will get an extra $5 certificate when they sign up. GameStop PowerUp Rewards Pro subscribers will also get invites to member-exclusive events, 2x PowerUp Points whenever they buy something at GameStop, and a subscription to Game Informer magazine....

The new design of GameStop stores has leaked online. The video game retailer had announced plans to change the layout of its stores as part of its GameStop reboot plan which also saw the company lay off more than 100 store employees and managers. On September 8, an Oklahoma branch of GameStop posted a video of its new store design on Facebook, asking its followers if they were “ready” to see the store’s new look....

Gears of War 4 could come to PC, The Coalition studio head Rod Fergusson has revealed. Asked by Game Informer whether there is any chance the game could come to the platform, Fergusson simply replied: “Possibly”. Fergusson’s response follows recent announcements from Microsoft that it is to bring a free-to-play version of Xbox One exclusive Forza Motorsport 6 to PC this spring, and release a PC version of Quantum Break simultaneously with the Xbox One version....

The official Twitter account of video game phenomenon PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds announced last night that two new guns are coming to the test servers. The DP-28 can be acquired all over the Erangel map, while the AUG A3 is only available via care packages. A blog detailing the latest update describes the DP-28 as having a ‘low firing rate but a long effective firing range with high damage, and the AUG A3 as ‘a variant of the bull-pup assault rifle’ with a high firing rate, and ‘low vertical recoil....

Santa Monica Studio has released a new patch for PlayStation-exclusive adventure God of War Ragnarok. It’s a much smaller patch than the previous one, with just two major items of note. Still, it should be available for the game now – so boot up your PlayStation to download it as soon as you can. Alas, this patch doesn’t bring about the promised Photo Mode just yet. Bandai Namco released new clips of its upcoming free-to-play first-person shooter Gundam Evolution, showcasing one of its playable mobile suits. Shared on the official Twitter account of the game, several videos show off the MSA-005 Methuss, which debuted in the Mobile Suit Z Gundam series and is one of the franchise’s first transformable mobile suits. The upcoming Captain Marvel film has found its composer, and fans of Fortnite should be extra excited. Pinar Toprak has signed on to score the film, which marks Marvel Studios’ first film to be scored by a female composer in the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s 10-year history. The announcement came via a post on Toprak’s Instagram profile, in which she expressed excitement and gratitude towards those who helped her land the role for the film slated for a March 8, 2019 release....
