Rockstar Games has commissioned YouTube channel 8-Bit Bastard to create what it’s calling the first ever video made using GTA 5 PC’s Rockstar Editor. The video, titled ‘Running, Man’, is being used as an example of the kind of content users will be able to create. “We were honoured to be commissioned by Rockstar Games to make this kickass video, made entirely using the new in-game editor,” said 8-Bit Bastard. “A lot of you guys have said you’re looking forward to seeing what we do with the GTA V PC editor, so hopefully you enjoy our first video!...

Let’s face it, Killzone 2 had a lot of problems, none of which were more frustrating than the controller lag. For a first person shooter, especially one that is supposed to be the flagship of a console, failure to reflect the precise movements of a controller is a real problem. Thankfully, Killzone 3, as promised by some of the game’s creative team, feels much more fluid as compared to Killzone 2....

The next Guild Wars 2 expansion, End of Dragons, will add a new Elite Specialization for each class in the MMORPG. The Mesmer was the first class to have its upcoming Elite Specialization teased. And now, ArenaNet has released a short video showing the Virtuoso’s abilities in action. The developer also announced that players will get a chance to try the Virtuoso Mesmer in an upcoming Guild Wars 2 Elite Specialization beta event....

Halo Infinite developer 343 Industries has again dismissed rumours of a battle royale mode in the upcoming first-person shooter sequel. Posting on ResetEra, series overlord Frank O’ Connor was responding to a report from Brad Sams, a noted Microsoft insider who claims that 343 is currently in the early stages of cobbling together a battle royale mode for Master Chief’s next outing. ‘We will not talk about the launch content of Halo Infinite until we’re ready,’ he said....

Turn-based strategy is one of those genres that work well on phones and it’s about time Ubisoft realized that. It’s owned the rights to Heroes of Might and Magic, one of the longest-running turn-based strategy franchises, since 2003, yet it hasn’t been until now that it has bothered to release a mobile version of the game. Might & Magic Heroes: Era of Chaos is a direct sequel to Heroes of Might and Magic III, which is widely regarded as the best game in the series....

Fortnite looks set to dramatically upgrade its user-made creative capabilities later this year, when Epic Games releases the Unreal Editor for Fortnite. Speaking to Fast Company, Epic boss Tim Sweeney said the release would allow “the full capabilities that you’ve seen [in Unreal Engine] opened up so that anybody can build very high-quality game content and code… and deploy it into Fortnite without having to do a deal with us - it’s open to everybody”....

Throughout Season 7, Epic Games has released a range of new weapons into Fortnite. The alien invasion has certainly resulted in some unique weapons on the island. At the beginning of the season, players gained access to new IO weapons with unique characteristics. Since then, even more weapons have debuted such as the Grab-itron and the Prop-ifier. It appears that the developers have plenty more new weapons that are in the works as well....

Epic Games continues to keep Fortnite Chapter 3: Season 1 fresh with the regular roll out of new content. Most recently, the Spider-Man crossover was taken to the next level with Amazing Web Week. This allowed you to find Spider-Man’s Web Shooters in chests for the first time. Additionally, bouncers were unvaulted for a limited period. Although this has now come to an end, a new week has begun. This time, we are celebrating chickens with Avian Ambush Week in Fortnite....

Epic Games’ Fortnite has seen massive growth since they launched the free Battle Royale mode and analysts are now warning that it will impact other publishers. The game has become hugely popular with gamers, especially younger gamers looking for a quick thrill, and word of mouth and constant posting about the game on social media has driven the audience up. This is not good news for other AAA publishers according to KeyBanc Capital Markets analyst Evan Wingren speaking to CNBC....

A choreographer is suing Epic Games over dance moves included in an old Fortnite emote. Kyle Hanagami, a choreographer who has worked with Britney Spears, Justin Bieber and J-Lo, filed suit against Epic regarding the “It’s Complicated” emote, which was released within Fortnite back in August 2020. Lawyers for Hanagami have said the emote uses copyrighted dance moves from a 2017 video set to Charlie Puth’s “How Long” (thanks, Kotaku) without credit or compensation....

Epic Games has released Fortnite update 3.5.2 for its perenially-popular shooter, adding a bunch of new content such as the Light-Machine Gun as previously teased. The meaty-looking weapon is available for the game’s Battle Royale incarnation, and features high magazine capacity and rapid rate of fire, but takes a while to reload. In addition, players can now take part in the updated version of the 50v50 Limited Time Mode, again for Battle Royale....

Forza Horizon 5 features a variety of in-universe radio stations that play a collection of real-world licensed tracks, ranging from pop, to drum & bass, to rock and more. It’s a healthy tracklist that features artist both well known and otherwise, but after putting in a few dozen hours or so, you’re bound to grow bored of the same old selection. Luckily, Forza Horizon 5 lets you add your own music to the game....

So far, Activision has hinted which Spider-Man variations will be playable via box art, and by revealing three of the four universes that will be included within the upcoming Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions game. The three out of four known universes first announced were Amazing, 2099 and Noir. With that said, what will the mysterious fourth universe be? Two of the most widely known Spanish eSport organizations in the world made recent headlines with its latest announcement. G2 eSports and Arctic Gaming joined forces to release a new League Of Legends academy team that will participate and clash it out in the Spanish Superliga Orange 2020. Sponsored by Chips Ahoy, the academy team is named G2 Arctic in commemoration of both organization’s joint union. G2 Arctic is set to own and conquer League Of Legends as the Spanish academy team led by G2 eSports and Arctic Gaming wherein they will participate in the Spanish Superliga Orange 2020, and many more national tournaments in the future....

Dreams has been awarded the most original game and best PlayStation 4 game at Gamescom 2019. Which is a bit ironic since the best use for Dreams has so far been to remake other games. Media Molecule should be proud. Their new sandbox puzzle creation game, Dreams, has been getting rave reviews since it was released to early access in April. The LittleBigPlanet and Tearaway makers are well versed in the creation of strange games that let you make things, and Dreams has all that in spades....

The Coalition has been showing off some of Gears 5 over the weekend, specifically the multiplayer portion of its upcoming sequel. The first video is narrated by Ryan Cleveland, multiplayer design director, and takes us through the game’s Escalation Mode, which is going through something of an overhaul for the new game. As before, two teams with a finite pool of lives must battle to take control of three rings on the map, but there’s some new wrinkles, such as respawn timers ticking down every round and getting shorter the longer a match goes on, and weapon picks between every round....
