With the number of updates that Fortnite goes through, it’s no wonder that the game can get a little buggy, but the Battle Royale game has finally patched an issue plaguing console users. An issue arose in the latest chapter that slowed all users from editing while sprinting....

Fortnite debuted the exclusive live event for the latest trailer for Tenet, the next movie from Dunkirk director Christopher Nolan (via Push Square). Because movie theatres around the world have been closed due to the coronavirus outbreak, this event was “the next best thing” for the new trailer for the new movie. Though other movies’ theatrical releases have been moved to minimise the impact of the pandemic, Tenet has not been delayed, and will release on July 17, 2020....

Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3 introduced an array of content for players to enjoy. The new season has brought in new points of interest, new ways to travel around the map, and much more. And Epic Games is continuing to keep things fresh by adding new weapons to the rotation, like the Grapple Glove earlier this month. Just how much faster can Fortnite get? Well, hang onto your butts, because you’re about to find out. Epic Games posted a new blog entry announcing that its hit battle royale game will soon be compatible with DirectX 12-capable graphics cards. That means an increase in performance, along with “features to Fortnite that are made possible by DX12.” It didn’t specify when the patch would go live. A fresh batch of games will be available for PS Plus subscribers from today. First up is Persona 5: Strikers. Released last year for PS4, it’s a follow-up to the critically acclaimed JRPG Persona 5 but with musuu-style combat alongside its teen drama. Next is Dirt 5, available on PS4 and PS5. The off road racer has 70 routes spanning ten global locations for its career mode, four-player splitscreen, and online multiplayer modes....

While it may not be catching on with the same speed and success as high-definition, 3D looks to be the next frontier for manufacturers of televisions and electronics. In the games arena the PlayStation 3 is currently the only console offering full stereoscopic 3D, but according to industry sources, that won’t be the case for long. Rumors are now pointing to Microsoft adding stereoscopic 3D to the Xbox 360 in the near future, with an announcement of the move at this year’s E3 seeming increasingly likely....

Gears of War: Ultimate Edition has surprise launched on Windows 10, offering PC gamers with the suitable hardware to run the game at 4K with higher quality character models and environments. Based on the Ultimate Edition launched for Xbox One last year, the game boasts the same improvements to lights, shadows, reflections, but also benefits from further improvements to character models and environments. “More immediately noticeable – and unique to DirectX version – are the improvements to the characters and environments,” says Cam McRae, technical director at The Coalition....

It’s bad news for gamers hoping to pick up God of War Ragnarok’s Jotnar Edition as it’s already being sold for more than double its retail price by scalpers after pre-orders rapidly sold out in the UK. The Jotnar Edition went on sale in the UK this morning via the retailer Game, and according to Reddit user u/relozation, copies had completely sold out within one minute. The user highlights in their post that less than half an hour later, copies of God of War’s Jotnar Edition had appeared on eBay at more than double the retail price....

The Xbox One version of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds can be downloaded free for a limited time. While Microsoft hasn’t actually made a formal announcement, a quick look at PUBG’s Microsoft Store listing confirms that the game is indeed available for free. News on the shooter was expected to drop at X018 this weekend, so this could be it; we’re not entirely sure, but it’s a nice surprise all the same. There has never been a game with more hype or greater expectations than Grand Theft Auto VI. To be fair, Rockstar Games doesn’t exactly have to get that installment out anytime soon. Grand Theft Auto V is still selling at incredible rates even six years after it was released. Microsoft revealed during its Gamescom showcase this week that Halo: The Master Chief Collection will be heading to Xbox Game Pass early next month.
