Tango Gameworks founder Shinji Mikami has revealed his Ghostwire Tokyo studio will take on more genres outside of horror in future games. The comments came in an interview by Mikami in the latest issue of Famitsu (as translated by Video Games Chronicle). The former Resident Evil director said he’d like it if fans didn’t associate the developer with a single genre. “I hope to eventually change the image that Tango Gameworks currently has,” he said....

“You could just never get this with a console game,” said Adam Grantham, creative director behind Skydance Interactive’s upcoming VR-exclusive title The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners. “You could never feel what it’s like to sink a blade into the head of a walker, you could never have one up in your face. It’s right there, the horror is so real.” Quality VR horror titles are few and far between, but this new take on the beloved comic series, due out tomorrow, seems set to be one of the most compelling virtual reality titles in recent memory....

Chris O’Neill, leader designer on Sony’s God of War, has been snapped up by Microsoft’s The Initiative studio. The company has been on a hiring spree the past few months, taking on board talent such as Rockstar’s Tom Shepherd and Sony Santa Monica Studio’s Brain Westergaard, who also worked on God of War. According to his LinkedIn profile (via Windows Central), O’Neill’s experience also includes a stint at Kojima Productions. There’s no word yet on what project he’s involved at with The Initiative, but hopefully we’ll find out more soon....

Gotham Knights will be limited to 30FPS and not include a performance mode for consoles on its release later this month. This news was confirmed by Gotham Knights’ executive producer Fleur Marty via Discord.
