Polyphony Digital head honcho Kazunori Yamauchi has confirmed that Gran Turismo Sport update 1.25 is rolling out today for the PlayStation 4-exclusive racer. The update is completely free and adds eight new cars into the mix, including the Ford Mark IV Race Car ‘67 and Mini-Cooper ‘S’ ‘65. Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas may be getting an overhaul in a couple of weeks, but it’s going to be seeing some more serious changes soon. In a Tweet from Oculus, San Andreas been confirmed that the game is coming to Oculus Quest 2 in the future. Not much information was included aside from the fact that this version is currently in development. As for how well a game from 2004 will look in VR, I’d imagine that the visuals will be more in line with the upcoming remaster, although we currently know nothing of what to expect....

In a first for developer Supergiant Games, the team is making a sequel, and oh, what a sequel it looks to be. That’s right, Hades 2 has been announced. Revealed at this year’s Game Awards, Supergiant has introduced us all to the Princess of the Underworld. 343 Industries has announced that it’s opening the gates of this weekend’s Halo Infinite Multiplayer Tech Preview to all Xbox Insiders. The news was announced on the game’s official Twitter account. Unlike previous tests, this weekend won’t require players to have signed up to the Halo Insider program to gain entry. Instead, they should be able to download the client through the Xbox Insider Hub on their dashboard. This weekend’s test will largely be focused on two modes that’ll feature in Halo Infinite‘s multiplayer at launch....

Halo Infinite released at the tail end of 2021, and while it’s been lauded for being an outstanding open-world game and a return to form for the series, there have been complaints about its in-game store and microtransaction prices. 343 Industries had addressed some of these issues on Twitter previously, stating that they were looking into ways to improve the situation. Rumours are abound that Hitman and Project 007 developer IO Interactive is working on a new fantasy IP with Xbox. According to Windows Central, the new project will be a fantasy RPG currently under the codename of ‘Project Dragon’ and will have a medieval setting with (of course) dragons and could feature a ‘connected world’ complete with multiplayer and will be published under the Xbox Game Studios banner. These reports have been somewhat corrobrated by Eurogamer, who also claim to have heard word of the plans but add that the project is still some years away....

Fortnite Battle Royale has just been updated with changes top trap usability and the addition of a new potion. The new potion is a Small Shield Potion which gives a 25 shield with a max of 50, it drops in stacks of three with a stack limit of 10, it’s uncommon, takes two seconds to consume, and it’s found in floor loot, chests and supply drops. Also, don’t try using it while moving because you can’t....

Multiplayer blaster Fortnite has detailed its 14 Days of Summer event which kicks off today, bringing with it two weeks of new content for both the Battle Royale and Save the World modes. Each day will see a weapon unvaulted for 24 hours, a new Limited Time Mode to play, a daily challenge and free reward and new items available in the item shop. There’ll also be a new featured island in Creative Mode every day, while Save the World will see a new quest added every day in a bid to earn Summer Tickets which can be exchanged for a new explosive weapon....

Fortnite B.R.U.T.E. mechs will instantly self-destruct as soon as they land in the game, due to a new chapter in its The Visitor storyline (via Eurogamer). ‘We regularly have and will continue to release content that shakes up gameplay in Fortnite in unexpected ways,’ Epic Games added. And now, the mechs are totally worthless. They’ll explode as soon as they touch the earth, and although some are celebrating the B.R.U.T.E.s redundancy, others suspect that mechanical meddling is to blame....

Anyone looking for their daily Fortnite fix will be disappointed to see that the servers are currently offline and have been for around twelve hours now. The servers went offline in the early hours of the morning for emergency downtime to deploy major upgrades to the database systems. This appears to be tied to their login and account systems.That work is still ongoing and the servers are still offline with no ETA on when they will return....

Fortnite’s 9.20 game update has arrived, and this week’s featured addition is the Storm Flip item, which is a personal storm in your pocket that allows you to reverse the storm condition of a localised area. Put simply, if you throw it where there is no storm, a sphere shaped area will be created with a storm in it. Throw it into the storm, and the reverse will happen, creating a localised safe space in a spherical area that lasts twenty seconds....

Forza Horizon 4 developer Playground Games has rolled out the latest update for the critically acclaimed racer, and with it, removing the Carlton and Floss avatar emotes.
