When you make someone with ‘hacking’ skills mad, bad things normally come your way. That’s a lesson that Microsoft Director of Policy and Enforcement for Xbox Live Stephen Toulouse learned the hard way. Toulouse, known as ‘Stepto’ on Xbox Live, is the face of player bans and security for Xbox Live. A Youtube user by the name of MrPredatorSik gained access to Toulouse’s account by using social engineering tactics. MrPredatorSik posted a video showcasing the hack, saying it’s payback for banning him 35 times....

Update: Halo 3: ODST’s May 29 release date was a placeholder and not the final date, the official Halo Twitter account has announced. “A placeholder release date for the ODST campaign for Halo: The Master Chief Collection was inadvertently listed on the Xbox Store,” reads the statement. “We continue final testing and will make an official announcement once our release date is determined, and apologize for any confusion.” Original report: Halo 3: ODST will launch for Halo: The Master Collection on May 29, according to listings spotted on Xbox....

It’s come to light that Halo Infinite may be missing a campaign replay feature on launch, although 343 has promised fans they’re working on it. The omission was first noted by Polygon. To explain, Halo Infinite follows a mostly open world structure. However, the first two campaign missions take place off planet, and these missions become locked off to the player once they get to Zeta Halo. This means they’re unable to get any collectibles or secrets they may have missed....

Harmonix has announced that festival music mixing game Fuser is set to launch in November. The game, originally revealed back in February, will see players take on the role of a DJ tasked with curating a virtual music festival. You’ll be able to mix components of many licensed tracks such as vocals, keyboards, guitars and drums to make impressive mixes across a variety of game modes including the ability to make your own mixes in a freestyle fashion....

Hello Games founder Sean Murray has denied rumours that the developer has plans to “stealth” release No Man’s Sky tomorrow – the same day Sony takes to the stage at Paris Games Week. Rumours circulating in recent weeks have suggested that Hello Games may have plans to launch the game during Sony’s press conference. But that isn’t the case, Murray says. “I heard that rumour that NMS is stealth releasing on Oct 27th,” said Murray....

The frankly addictive and incredibly successful Hitman 3 is getting a new tropical island map this month, developers IO Interactive have announced. Ambrose Island is scheduled for a July 26th launch, alongside the latest patch, 3.120, but that’s not the only thing that’s going on in the world of Hitman 3 this month. The new Hitman 3 map, Ambrose Island, a hidden cove in Asia, is said to be home to a pirate syndicate and can be found in the Andaman Sea – which is just off the coast of Burma, near Thailand in the northeast Indian Ocean....

Players launching Fortnite today are being greeted with the news that the game’s upcoming Playground LTM mode may be just around the corner according to an announcement on the title’s in-game news page. The mode, as first detailed on the Epic Fortnite blog a few weeks ago, offers players longer timers and increased resources to allow them to freely build and skirmish on a private version of the map in a more casual manner than the game’s regular Battle Royale mode....

Gears 5 has a Terminator crossover, as has already been revealed, and it will feature Linda Hamilton, reprising her role as Sarah Connor. In an interview with Gamespot, The Coalition studio head Rod Fergusson discussed the crossover. ‘Linda is actually going to do the voice of Sarah Connor,’ Fergusson said. ‘It was just one of those things where we’ve always been fans of the Terminator franchise and we’re here coming back with James Cameron and Linda Hamilton and we’re just very excited....

The Gears of War movie, which has been thrown about Hollywood since 2007, and is now in development at Universal Pictures, will be ‘a great movie first and a Gears movie second,’ The Coalition’s studio head Rod Fergusson told IGN. Genshin Impact’s recent v3.0 Sumeru update features a plethora of brewing new content. As you explore the new Sumeru region, you will find several quests and puzzles to complete. One of these includes the damaged elemental monuments scattered all over the region. This quest is a part of the Agnihotra Sutra world questline. To fix these monuments or statues, you need to get your hands on a gadget. But getting this gadget can be a bit tricky....

During last night’s PlayStation showcase, there was a new trailer for Ghostwire: Tokyo, featuring bonkers gameplay. The game is set in Tokyo, obviously, and monsters are overunning the streets—floating schoolchildren, Slendermen. Meanwhile, the hero’s face seems to be melting away, as he battles these creatures with a series of hand gestures.
