Fortnite’s map has been changed up again for Season 10. While continuing to bring players new content, Epic Games has made a point to bring back formerly removed content as part of this season’s theme of time-based antics. Case in point, the floating island that once graced the map in Season 6 of Fortnite is there once more. This won’t come as a shock to those who’ve been paying attention, as the existence of the floating island and its new location was leaked last week....

Epic Games has announced that Fortnite will be available on the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X from launch (via Business Insider). This doesn’t mean that the current generation will be left by the wayside, though. “We plan to continue support for existing platforms in tandem with our support for next-generation consoles,” said the company, and it guaranteed that players will be able to play together through cross-generation play. Moreover, all progress on your Xbox One or PlayStation 4 will come with you if or when you upgrade to an Xbox Series X or PlayStation 5....

Gamescom 2022 Opening Night Live only happened last night, but Geoff Keighley has already announced when Gamescom 2023 is set to take place. This morning, Keighley took to Twitter to post the announcement. “Give me a minute but Gamescom 2023 dates have been announced - including Opening Night Live,” he tweeted, alongside a picture of a banner from the show floor with the dates for next year printed on. The dates shown on the banner are 23rd - 27th August 2023, with Opening Night Live happening the day before on 22nd August....

The acclaimed Gears of War Madworld Trailer, which helped catapult the new franchise into the limelight back in 2006, has been remade as the official launch trailer for the new Gears of War Ultimate Edition. The new trailer opens with CG footage from the first Gears of War, then switches to in-game footage from Gears of War Ultimate Edition. GungHo has announced that retro-tastic RPGs Grandia and Grandia II will be heading to Nintendo Switch later this year. Both titles will be fully remastered in sparkling high-definition for the Big N’s hybrid platform, although there’s no word on any extra content at the time of writing. GungHo did confirm, however, that Steam is also going to receive a HD upgrade of Grandia at some point. Grandia may not be quite the household name that Final Fantasy or Dragon Quest is, but the series still maintains a strong following....
