Plans for a potential crossover between Fortnite and Dead by Daylight have been uncovered by fans. Documentation detailing the proposed tie-in suggests Dead by Daylight survivor Meg Thomas will head to Epic Games’ battle royale island as a skin. In return, Fortnite’s cheeky llama mascot will pop up in Dead by Daylight as a charm. For now, there’s no official word on when this crossover might become reality (around Halloween time, perhaps?...

Fortnite Chapter 2 is coming to a close and for many players, its first season has been all about finding the eight letters that spell out the game’s name. Epic Games has rolled out the latest Fortnite update, and as expected it includes the new port-a-fortress grenade giving you extra defensive capabilities in battle royale mode. Speaking of battle royale, Fortnite players will also be able to enjoy a new Playground location in the shape of Spiky Stadium. ‘Give it a throw and an arena will appear, ready to go for any mini-game your squad can think up,’ says Epic....

After a short delay due to “issues”, the Fortnite v3.3 update has gone live. This update shelves the Smoke Grenade and adds remote explosives to Battle Royale. The notes also show that a new limited time mode is being added on Monday next week called Blitz Mode. The new Blitz mode will feature shorter storm times and match lengths will typically be around 15 minutes. More details on that can be found in the patch notes below....

Josh Hutcherson has endured much during his time on the set of Future Man season 2. First of all, his name bears a suspicious resemblance to that of the hapless hero he plays on the show, Josh Futterman, making whatever abuse the character receives seem a little bit more personal. But the second season of Hulu’s sci-fi comedy, which releases this Friday, January 11, 2019, is also particularly hard on Futterman, and Hutcherson was not shy about sharing the impending troubles about to be visited on his character....

Game Freak has announced that one of its employees has contracted coronavirus, and it is implementing “swift action” to ensure no one else is infected (via Nintendo Life). The individual was diagnosed with the virus on April 22, and was working in its Setagaya office. They are now being treated in hospital, and Game Freak stated that the likelihood of colleagues catching the virus from them is very low. The company has reduced the number of face-to-face communications and meetings in the offices since the end of January....

Following the reveal of Version 2.5 of Genshin Impact, developer MiHoYo published a new trailer featuring the new character coming with the update, Yae Miko. This time around we don’t get to see gameplay, but instead, the trailer focuses on introducing her in a rather interesting way. She will be available in Genshin Impact’s gacha on February 16. Sony Interactive Entertainment Europe has posted a new God of War video unboxing the game’s snazzy Collector’s Edition, featuring Cory Barlog (game director) and Chris Judge (voice of Kratos). The highly anticipated dad-’em-up is due for release exclusively for PlayStation 4 on April 20, and its Collector’s Edition features a figurine of the angry anti-hero plus a bunch of other physical and in-game goodies. After more than 24 hours offline - rendering a game whose single-player mode needs an internet connection almost entirely unplayable - Gran Turismo 7’s big patch is finally live and, as feared, it nerfs the credit payout of several events that had become favourite grinding spots for players. It’s a move that has caused considerable consternation amongst the Gran Turismo community, and understandably so given the ability to buy in-game currency on the PlayStation Store, with the game’s miserly in-game economy seemingly pushing players towards microtransactions....

Rockstar Games has announced that it will finally be bringing Grand Theft Auto: Episodes From Liberty City to the PlayStation 3 and PC on March 30th. The title was previously only available on the Xbox 360 after Rockstar signed a timed exclusive agreement with Microsoft. Episodes contains both DLC packs for Grand Theft Auto 4 - The Lost and The Damned & The Ballad of Gay Tony - but does not require you own the original game....

Grand Theft Auto 6 will, reportedly, feature a female protagonist, and will take place in a setting based on Miami. If that last part is true, we can presume that it will be Vice City. According to a new report from Bloomberg, GTA 6 has been in development since 2014. Rockstar has shoved a fresh GTA Online update out of the garage this afternoon, this time allowing you to get behind the wheel of the Pfister Neon Electric sportscar. As always, pop on down to Legendary Motor to claim the vehicle. The main highlight is probably the new Adversary mode known as Hardest Target. Here, 4-16 players battle it out in an attempt to destroy the opposing team’s ‘target’ while concurrently keeping their own one out of harm’s reach....

When it comes to rage quitting games, a recent post on Reddit seems to have revealed that nothing gets gamers all riled up more than GTA Online. Most gamers will have titles that wind them up beyond belief, yet we can’t seem to stop ourselves from coming back to them. Gwent – the collectible card game first seen in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – is getting a single player story campaign called Thronebreaker and it was meant to be out this year, but developer CD Projekt Red has said its launch has been delayed until 2018. In a blog update on the official Gwent site, studio co-founder Marcin Iwinski said ‘We decided to increase the campaign’s scope and need more time to work on it,’ before adding ‘Shifting release windows is always something we approach seriously, however, we’ll never hesitate to do it if we feel you’ll get a better game as a result....

Half-Life: Alyx is meant to be a flagship VR game, but fans shouldn’t expect it on PlayStation VR at launch. Valve hasn’t ruled out the possibility of Half-Life: Alyx being ported to a Sony machine in the future, but it won’t be until after the launch of the PC version of the game. Valve is reviving the Half-Life series after a decade of inactivity with Half-Life: Alyx, which is an upcoming VR game starring Alyx Vance....
