Google has confirmed it’s made the “difficult decision” to begin the closure of its much-touted Google Stadia games streaming service. The announcement came today from Phil Harrison, Vice President and General Manager of Stadia on the official Google Blog and comes just under three years after it launched. “While Stadia’s approach to streaming games for consumers was built on a strong technology foundation,” Harrison wrote. “It hasn’t gained the traction with users that we expected so we’ve made the difficult decision to begin winding down our Stadia streaming service....

Rockstar Games has marked today’s launch of Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition with a trio of comparison videos, one for each game in the collection. Hades 2, the sequel to the similarly titled first entry released by Supergiant Games, has been announced at The Game Awards 2022. Profenix Studio SRLS has just announced its first game, Hellseed, is in development. The studio is developing the game with an engine they created, called S2 ENGINE HD, and it describes Hellseed as a first-person horror adventure game with puzzles and some action elements. There’s no trailer for Hellseed yet, but the studio has posted a series of pictures on the game’s Steam page. Microsoft Flight Simulator comes pre-packaged with a decent variety of aircraft. One particular is the Airbus A320neo airliner, which is available to all players. While you can manage to simulate some civilian passenger flights with the A320neo, it unfortunately only comes with the default Airbus paint scheme; not the best choice if you want to simulate an actual airline flight. Platinum Games is really pleased with the success of Nier Automata. Not only has it helped the Platinum fanbase grow, it probably helped save the company following the cancellation of Scalebound. According to a tweet from games designer and co-founder of Platinum Games Hideki Kamiya, Nier Automata and its writer and director, Yoko Taro, may well have saved Platinum.
