Total War: Three Kingdoms won’t be out until March 7, 2019, but it already looks like a number of changes are in place. It’s not just the art style and the way you command armies. Xbox has revealed the dates for November’s additions to Game Pass. Available from today on cloud, console and PC are Pentiment and Somerville. Pentiment received a recommended badge from us, and our Donlan described it as “a brilliant narrative adventure that is filled with intelligence and heart”. We. The Revolution, a courtroom adventure set during the French Revolution, is coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch next month, publisher Klabater has announced. The game, which is already available on PC, sees you take on the role of a judge of the Revolutionary Tribunal, which will see you presiding over many criminal and political cases; questioning witnesses, analysing clues and evidence and even discuss the cases with your in-game family as you progress through the story....

If you’re at all into PC gaming, you probably know of a certain DRM service called Denuvo. It was first released in 2014 and has since been tacked onto a wide range of PC releases. The most recent and relevant of those releases are Resident Evil 7 and Hitman 2. RE7 dropped the service just a few days ago, and Hitman 2 is following suit by removing Denuvo in its latest update....

Plenty going on in Fortnite world this week (both Battle Royale and PvE sides of things), which is all explained in Epic’s latest blog post. Patch v.1.11 is scheduled for release on 14 December. That will mark the beginning of Season 2 for Fortnite’s Battle Royale, which will be running until 20 February. Epic will be offering a Dota-esque ‘Battle Pass’ for this season, available for 950 V-bucks. Purchasing the Battle Pass will get your cosmetic loot up front, and then “Play to level up your Battle Pass, unlocking 65+ rewards by the end of the season....

Fortnite Chapter 2 is in full swing and the season keeps bringing new challenges for players to complete and earn rewards for. Those who’ve already completed the Dockyard Deals challenges will be glad to know that the latest set of challenges called “The Lowdown” go live today in Fortnite and players have the opportunity to level up their battle pass even faster. Chapter 2 made some significant changes to the way players level up their Battle Pass....

Fortnite has recieved its latest patch today, affecting both the Battle Royale and Save the World modes of the enormously popular shooter. In the Battle Royale mode, the main highlights are the addition of dual pistols and the previously reported Playground mode, of which we now know the full details; in this mode you and up to three other players are thrown onto a version of the map by yourselves with a sixty minute time limit....

Microsoft has unveiled the list of “Games with Gold” titles for January 2020 and it’s a little underwhelming. While nothing here is bad, per se, the vastly different genres represented means not everyone is going to be pleased. It’s also kind of strange that you’d mix an adventure game, fighter, children’s game, and RPG together. Talk about eclectic. On the Xbox One side comes Styx: Shards of Darkness and Batman: A Telltale Games Series....

Gears of War’s General RAAM, a major bad guy in the first Gears title, is set to be a guest character in Killer Instinct Season 3, reports Shoryuken. RAAM will join other guest characters Rash from Battletoads and Arbiter from Halo. In addition, Mira is also believed to be part of the Season 3 roster. Mira is quite new to the franchise, having been introduced with the launch of the Xbox One game as Maya’s late twin sister....

Point-and-click adventures are often the realm of silly yet elaborate stories. Goichi Suda, otherwise known as Suda51, has said that he wants Ryan Gosling as Travis Touchdown in a No More Heroes movie. In an interview with Shacknews, Suda went into details on his dream movie blueprint: “[For Travis Touchdown,] I’d probably go with Ryan Gosling. And And as director, I’d probably go with James Gunn. It seems that the Epic Store has secured another major deal as Grand Theft Auto 5 is set to be the next free game offered through the service. While this news isn’t official as of yet (we’ll update you when that becomes the case), a now-deleted tweet from the Epic Games Store spilled the beans regarding this upcoming deal. It seems that Grand Theft Auto 5 will be available for free to all Epic Store users starting today and that you’ll have until May 21 to download your copy....

Codemasters and EA have revealed a February 25, 2022 release date alongside new gameplay details for upcoming racer GRID Legends. We’re promised the “biggest variety of game modes” in a GRID game yet. That includes a massive Career mode with over 250 events, the return of Drift and Elimination and the all-new Electric Boost racing. That’s on top of the previously-revealed ‘Driven to Glory’ story mode with live-action cutscene drama....
