HoYoverse has kicked off a new Genshin Impact web event called Bouncing Blobby Slimes, which runs from July 4, 2022, to July 10, 2022. The primary objective of the players during this event is to help Slime jump across rock platforms until it reaches the end of the map. Sony Interactive Entertainment released another video of the upcoming action-adventure game God of War Ragnarok. This time around it’s a featurette focusing on the work of the character and creature designers at Santa Monica Studio. The game will have us visit Svartalfheim, the land of the dwarves, where we’ll meet old friends Brok and Sindri, on top of more of their people. On the other face of the coin, we see work done on the many creatures we’ll meet in the game, many of which we’ll also have to fight....

343 Industries say changes are coming to Halo Infinite multiplayer’s cosmetic shop following feedback from fans. The news came by way of the developer’s Head of Design Jerry Hook. Hideo Kojima has confirmed that Death Stranding has fallen slightly behind schedule, although we still don’t know when the game is actually coming out. The PlayStation 4-exclusive, erm, something-’em-up (I think it’s fair to say no one really knows quite what it is yet) was announced at E3 2016, following Kojima’s departure from Konami in late 2015. However, a release date has never been confirmed. ‘It’s common for studios to fall behind their planned release date, and Death Stranding is very slightly behind our initial plan, but not behind by much,’ Kojima-san said, during a chat with J-Wave (via IGN)....

Fortnite Battle Royale is now available on pretty much every major platform, offering up some free-to-play action that’s very similar to that seen in PUBG. Since the launch of Fortnite, the Save the World game mode has been receiving updates along with the battle royale. Previously, the game mode offered players randomized llama loot boxes. Earlier today during the Pokemon Presents stream, it was announced that four Ultra Beasts will become more widely available to Pokemon GO trainers. Each Pokemon GO Fest event this Summer has focused on a different Ultra Beast, and it looks like the Finale will bring together all four that have been released so far. The Pokemon Go Fest Finale event will take place on August 27 from 6 AM until 10 PM local time and will feature wild Pokemon that aren’t usually seen out in the wild....

Loot boxes in video games are not a form of illegal gambling, the French regulatory body ARJEL has concluded. The organisation, which is an authority when it comes to online gambling, found that loot boxes do not fall into this category as they do not possess real-world value. However, ARJEL noted in its 2017-2018 activity report that the topic would benefit from closer examination, suggesting Europe as a whole needs to find a consensus on how to tackle loot boxes....
