Although Gears 5 players were plagued with connection and server issues on the Early Access launch day, Microsoft and developer The Coalition say that they have worked most of those problems out. However, players are reporting that other issues may have come about because of those connection problems, specifically a loss of progress tracking with the campaign and collectibles. Earlier today, the Gears 5 Twitter account revealed that it had launched several fixes meant to make the online co-op experience in the game better....

Ghost of Tsushima, one of the PlayStation 4’s last major exclusives, will still be released in 2020, but the game’s release date has been pushed back slightly to July 17. According to Sony and the PlayStation team, it seems this delay can be attributed to the spread of the COVID-19 virus. “As our teams at Sony Interactive Entertainment and Worldwide Studios approach development milestones and confront a world changed by COVID-19, we find ourselves having to adapt to today’s ever-changing environment,” reads a post on the PlayStation blog....

After a weekend of teasing on social media and in Pokemon GO, the Pokemon Company has finally revealed Gimmighoul, a brand new Pokemon that will be available in Scarlet and Violet when it releases later this month. The teasing began on Saturday when the official Pokemon Twitter account posted cryptic messages with times and numbers, linking to a mysterious “chest” website. Throughout the day, the chest opened more and more, and now it finally opens all the way....

Photo Mode is now available in God of War Ragnarök, having been included as part of the latest update. The mode was conspicuously missing from the game at launch, with Santa Monica Studios suggesting that it was not yet ready. Photo Mode was a highlight of God of War (2018), where it was also released after launch. The new Photo Mode includes the ability to add expressions to Kratos, Atreus, Freya, Brok, Sindri, Tyr, Angrboda, Thor, and Thrúd....

So far, it seems that many players and critics felt quite underwhelmed with Gotham Knights. On Metacritic, the PC version received a middling 66 Metascore and a downright abysmal 3.2 user score, and while it fared noticeably better on Steam, it seems clear that it hasn’t really set the world on fire. The 17-year-old suspect believed to behind the recent hack of Grand Theft Auto maker Rockstar Games has pled not guilty to the charge of computer misuse. However, the teen did plead guilty to breaching bail conditions, Eurogamer understands. French studio Spiders first announced GreedFall back in 2017, and they intended to release it in 2018. We haven’t heard a whole lot about it since then, until it resurfaced during E3 2019 with a story trailer. Today, Spiders and publisher Focus Home Interactive released a new gameplay overview trailer. It showcases what to expect from this ambitious action RPG in terms of role-playing and combat systems. The little big world of Grounded has been a hit with gamers since it launched in Early Access back in late July. Since then, Obsidian has been hard at work turning out patches and making improvements to its Honey I Shrunk the Kids-inspired backyard survival game. The Grounded patch 0.1.2 went live today, which marks the second update for the game, just days after patch 0.1.1. Today’s update focuses on different problems though, including the non-spawning resources found throughout the world....

In July, fans finally got a look at the gameplay of Halo Infinite, the next major chapter in the beloved first-person shooter franchise. Touted as a showcase for the power of the Xbox Series X, the game has been positioned as the next-gen console’s flagship title. Unfortunately, while the long-awaited gameplay demo should have been a victory lap for Xbox and developer 343 Industries, it’s actually become a hotly debated topic among Halo and Xbox fans....

Since the launch of Halo Infinite, fans haven’t seen much in terms of new content. With Season 2 arriving in May, there is still a long way to go until they get a fresh experience. And when 343 Industries announced co-op would not launch with the beginning of Season 2, some players were understandably disappointed. The developer behind Halo Infinite revealed during a livestream overnight (via XBA) that Master Chief’s highly anticipated next outing will include four-player splitscreen support. The studio is currently working on a new engine for the upcoming first-person shooter, so presumably Halo Infinite is still a long way off. Four-player splitscreen is currently being tested in the new engine, 343 confirmed. Elsewhere, the developer revealed that Infinite’s armor customisation will pluck inspiration from Halo Reach....

EA has confirmed FIFA 23’s current-gen exclusive gameplay features, and in doing so outlined the differences between the various versions of the game. FIFA 23 has certain features on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S, PC (finally!) and Google Stadia that are not present on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
