It was recently confirmed that Grand Theft Auto V is heading to PlayStation 5. Xbox veteran and Halo Infinite head of design Jerry Hook has unveiled his new “AAA” studio Jar of Sparks, a first-party developer for Chinese publisher NetEase that will focus on creating the “next generation of narrative-driven action games”. Hook, who announced his departure from 343 Industries and Microsoft back in May, has a long and notable career in the games industry, having joined the Xbox Live team in 2003. He would later take on an executive producer role at Microsoft after a brief sojourn at Bungie, gaining credits on numerous 343-Industries-developed titles including Halo 4 and Halo 5: Guardians....

Halo Infinite developer 343 Industries is still working to improve the shooter, and most recently addressed “topics of concern”, desync and “the overall online experience”. In a bid to maintain “an open discussion about the state of networked play in Halo Infinite”, lead sandbox engineer Richard Watson confirmed in a recent Waypoint update that the team was prioritising low pings in the matchmaking process to help players match with those closest to them, “and therefore have a better connection, more often”....

The first season of the upcoming Halo TV series has not even debuted yet, but a second one has already been confirmed. The announcement also mentions that David Wiener of “Brave New World” fame will be joining the series for season 2 as showrunner and executive producer, At the moment, no further details have been shared, but the first season of the TV series will debut on March 24 on Paramount+....

Fortnite will be updated to v1.9 tomorrow (14 November) and comes with numerous improvements and new features.
