It’s fair to say that Fortnite is pretty damn popular right now. It’s the biggest free-to-play console game of all time, is giving rival shooter PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds a good kicking in terms of raw numbers, and has the backing of celebs including rapper Drake. Warner Bros Games and DC have released some new official art for the upcoming Gotham Knights, teasing the game’s appearance at DC Fandome next month. It’ll be a four-player first person co-operative shooter aimed at ‘hardcore FPS players’, but this time with a distinct horror vibe as you and three other survivors must work together to scrounge and obtain valuable artefacts buried in a vast underground complex that also happens to be the home of a horde of mutated horrors....

CD Projekt RED has just released the latest addition to its spin-off from The Witcher card game GWENT, with the new Merchants of Ofir expansion. The new expansion features over seventy new cards, as well as introducing a new mechanic in the form of Scenarios – challenges that task you with playing in certain ways or meeting certain objectives in order to progress. For launch, CD Projekt RED is also offering a Ofiri Bargain Pack, with 10 Merchants of Ofir premium kegs, a Premium card back and a Wraith Leader Skin for the Monsters faction for £19....

Last night’s Halo Infinite Season 2 Community Livestream was interrupted by a secret teaser, which fans speculate hints at the game’s rumoured battle royale mode. The teaser, which played while 343 Industries community director Brian Jarrard and community manager John Junyszek were going through cosmetic unlocks in the Season 2 Battle Pass, showed the logo for a company called “Lux Voluspa” before we hear two voices panicking about a “missing core”....

Today, Hasbro announced that it will be creating a new brand of Nerf blasters based around several of the popular and iconic weapons featured in the Halo franchise. This brand of Halo-themed toys is currently slated for a release of October 1st, 2020. With Mattel’s BOOMco., a previous maker of Halo-themed dart guns, being discontinued, it seems that Microsoft has passed the mantle of creating foam flinging Halo replicas to Hasbro’s Nerf brand of products....

A demo of Halo Wars 2 is now available to download on Xbox One, with the download coming soon to Windows 10, Microsoft has announced. Halo Wars 2 Demo features campaign mission one, The Signal, plus Blitz Firefight in which players battle against waves of enemy AI using a pre-built deck of cards from Captain Cutter or Atriox. Disgraced producer Harvey Weinstein can now also be described in print as a convicted rapist. The fallen Hollywood mogul was found guilty Monday by a jury of his peers of committing a “criminal sexual act” and third-degree rape, even as he was acquitted on the two most severe charges of predatory sexual assault. Facing a maximum prison sentence of 25 years, Weinstein was convicted on the charge of sexually assaulting Miriam Haley in his Soho apartment on July 10, 2006; he was further convicted of third-degree rape on the charge of assaulting Jessica Mann, an aspiring actress who he attacked at a DoubleTree hotel in New York City on March 13, 2013....
