343 Industries has released a pair of new trailers for Halo Infinite’s campaign and free-to-play Multiplayer during last night’s Xbox and Bethesda Showcase event. The first one teased a bit more on the backstory of the latest chapter in Master Chief’s ongoing fight. It seems the corrupted Cortana has been deleted, and we’ll be teaming up with a new AI named ‘the Weapon’. Epic Games has shoved Fortnite content update v5.30 out of the door, bringing with it a new Limited-Time Mode for the insanely popular shooter. Players spent over one million dollars on in-game purchases for the mobile version of Fortnite during its first 72 hours on sale. Game of Thrones will end after eight seasons, recently appointed HBO programming chief Casey Bloys has confirmed to Variety. The show ended its sixth season earlier this year. “Yes, I think (showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss) have a very specific plan about the number of seasons they want to do,” he said at the Television Critics Association in California, when asked if the show would end after eight seasons. “If I could get them to do more, I would take 10 seasons, but we want to take their lead with what they can do and what the best version of the show is....

Gears of War developer The Coalition announced that it was moving to next-gen development by using Unreal Engine 5. Sony Santa Monica has dropped a launch trailer to mark today’s release of 2018’s God of War on PC. Of course, there’s a bunch of enhancements for this PC release. They include 21:9 ultra-widescreen support, true 4K resolution and unlocked framerates. There’s also loads of other fancy PC tech in there too, including improved screen space reflections, GTAO and SSDO. There’s also NVidia DLSS too to add to the acronym-tastic additions....

One God of War Ragnarök fan has found, and subsequently unlocked, the game’s unfinished photo mode. Developer Sony Santa Monica recently stated that, while a photo mode would not be available on the game’s launch, it would be coming further down the line by way of an update. This is much the same as with 2018’s God of War. However, prolific modder Speclizer (who was responsible for unearthing the canned multiplayer map files in the Last of Us Part 2) has managed to find Ragnarök’s photo mode and get it working....

Polyphony Digital has dropped its latest free April update for PlayStation-exclusive racing sim Gran Turismo 7.
