Following the reveal of Version 2.4 of Genshin Impact, developer MiHoYo released a new trailer featuring one of the new characters that will come with the update. Specifically, we take a look at Yun Jin, in which she herself talks about her backstory. We also see her in action and we hear her opera singing voice at the end, provided by a professional performer from the Peking opera. The last day of Genshin Impact’s photo event ‘Five Flushes of Fortune’ tasks players to capture photos of Purple creatures scattered throughout the map using the Kurious Kamera. Similar to previous days, players will have to embark on a journey but this time they will have to click 10 photos of Purple creatures and give them to Ji Tong to get rewards. The Game Awards host Geoff Keighley has said that he was left broken hearted when he found out Metal Gear Solid creator Hideo Kojima was not being allowed to attend his show earlier this month. MGS 5 won best Action/Adventure game, but the award had to be accepted by Keifer Sutherland because Kojima wasn’t in attendance. “As you noticed, Hideo Kojima is not here with us tonight and I wanted to tell you a little bit about that,” Keighley told the audience....
Pokemon Legends: Arceus was released at the end of January and shifted the focus of gameplay more towards exploration and finding Pokemon and less on battling in gyms. The game takes place in the Sinnoh region, the setting for Pokemon Diamond and Pokemon Pearl, where you explore the region to create its first Pokédex! Arceus is a lot of fun and a great change of pace for Pokemon, but it is only available on Nintendo Switch consoles....
Ubisoft has announced it’s closing down the multiplayer servers for several more older titles this year, including a number of older Tom Clancy titles such as Ghost Recon Future Soldier and both Rainbow Six Vegas games. As spotted by members of the ResetEra forum, the games have been added to Ubisoft’s master list of retiring older games in order to devote the resources to more recent titles, but it does mean that it could potentially make some achievements and trophies in those games impossible to obtain....

Sony has confirmed that God of War Ragnarök, its upcoming action-adventure sequel, will be out on November 9th. This puts to bed a number of rumours that have been rumbling around the game’s possible delay. In a post on the PlayStation Blog, Grace Orlady, the senior community manager at Santa Monica Studio, said: “God of War Ragnarök is officially coming to PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 on November 9, 2022! The Google Stadia platform has the potential to run high-end games without the need to purchase costly hardware. We say “potential” since there is still no concrete proof that Google Stadia will work as advertised in the wild. THQ Nordic has announced that Black Mirror, a new gothic horror adventure, will be released on November 28, 2017. Black Mirror is a reboot of the point-and-click franchise from the mid-to-late 00’s, telling a completely new story independent from the the rest of the games series. Playing as David Gordon, players will get to focus on the investigation of the nightmarish visions that plague his mind. Just like the original point-and-click adventure trilogy, the new Black Mirror taps into the gothic horror genre, focusing on an atmosphere of madness and psychological distress....

343 Industries, the developer behind Xbox’s blockbuster Halo series, has reportedly lost another high-profile figure. David Berger, who served as lead developer on Infinite’s ambitious Slipspace Engine technology, will leave the studio - according to reports by Windows Central and Lords of Gaming. News of the departure comes just days after 343’s boss Bonnie Ross announced her own exit from the company after 15 years, to attend to a family medical issue....
343 Industries has acknowledged the frustrations of its Halo Infinite community, however the team hopes the upcoming arrival of Season Two will fix some of the ongoing issues. 343 community director Brian Jarrard took to Reddit over the weekend, where he revealed the Halo Infinite team is “certainly not happy to be unable to meet player and community expectations”. He also admitted, “it’s a difficult situation that’s going to take the team time to work through”....
The upcoming live-action Halo TV series has confirmed it’ll be showing off its first trailer during The Game Awards on Thursday night. A tweet from the official account gave fans a brief 15 second teaser of what to expect. We see a few marines, a few Spartans, and a glimpse at the iconic Warthog in the tease. It’s actually not the first tease we’ve had for the series so far. Fans were treated to a very brief glimpse of Pablo Schreiber as Master Chief himself during Xbox’s 20th anniversary celebration stream last month....
