2020 is already set to be a really great year in the world of gaming. A ton of brand new games have been announced to be coming out in this upcoming year and there are even quite a few sequels to games that we already love that have been announced. Although there are some sequels that everyone is already talking about like The Last of Us: Part II, Animal Crossing: New Horizons, and the sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, there are also a lot of sequels that have gone more under the radar....

Gamescom is back - das ist super! And it kicks off tonight with Geoff Keighley’s Opening Night Live from 7pm UK time. And we’ll be covering it live, right here, while you watch and chat about it. What are we going to see? Well, Geoff Keighley! And he’s promised a bumper load of world premiere trailers for games such as Return to Monkey Island, The Expanse: Telltale Series, The Callisto Protocol and “more than a dozen” more....

Everywhere you turn around, something is claiming to be the next Game of Thrones. In some cases, the comparison lives up to the hype. Such is the case with Angus Macallan’s Gates of Stone, a brutally violent clash of rulers, set in a fantasy world built from Macallan’s experiences living in Asia. Stretching from a Russia-like north and devoting most of the narrative to Laut Besar, an Indonesian-like island setting, Gates of Stone features ruthless individuals seeking to take, and hold, their power, and reshape the world in their own images....

Randy Pitchford recently took to Twitter to clarify what he considers to be the misuse of his words with regards to upcoming Borderlands 3 in-game purchases. While Pitchford said that there would be no microtransactions during the livestream of the game, an interview with Gearbox developer Paul Sage seemed to contradict this statement. Pitchford was upset at how Game Informer presented his statement afterward, and for a while, the Twitter rant seemed to go back and forth....

Just a week before it launches, WB Montreal announced that Gotham Knights is getting a 4-Player Co-Op mode. Titled Heroic Assault, the mode will launch on Nov. 29, 2022, as a free update for all users. Heroic Assault will be separate from the main game, allowing you and 3 of your friends to take down enemies in “a dedicated arena-like environment” while also partaking in special challenges your team will take on....

Today Warner Bros. Games released a new trailer of the upcoming action RPG Gotham Knights and this one is all about the PC version. The trailer promises 4K resolution, ultra-high framerate, ray-traced reflections, intel XeSS support (basically Intel’s platform-agnostic DLSS-like upscaling), extensive customization options, ultra-wide screen resolution, and multi-monitor support. While not everyone will be able to enjoy the game with quite so nice visuals, there indeed seem to be plenty of ways to customize your performance, in case your rig isn’t really cutting-edge-...

The original Stream Deck launched in 2017, and was only superceded by a new model this year - which has the exact some software and features. The only thing you’re missing out on is interchangeable face plates, a USB-C port and a less adjustable stand. For my money, the OG model is the way to go - especially given this discounted price. Of course, there have been plenty of similar-ish macro boards before....

Grounded is a survival game where the protagonist is shrunk to the size of an ant. You will have to travel and survive through dangerous landscapes. In this game, you will come across BURG.L, a friendly robot who will send you on quests. These quests will help you earn Raw Science, which is an important form of currency in Grounded. One of the quests he will send you is the Spade Gulch marker....

Grand Theft Auto 5 has set a new record of concurrent players on Steam, recording 300,452 users on Tuesday, reports GamesIndustry. The record applies to all non-Valve titles, with both Team Fortress 2 and Dota 2 having previously surpassed the 300,000 figure. Dota 2 has, incredibly, approached 800,000 concurrent players. GTA 5 eclipsed the 280,000 concurrent figure achieved by Skyrim in 2011. Prior to the PC launch, Rockstar had shipped more than 45 million units of GTA 5 across PS3, Xbox 360, PS4 and Xbox One....

Half-Life 2 has received a new update on Steam that fixes several of the game’s minor issues, despite the fact that it was released all the way back in 2004. Half-Life 2 was one of the most highly-anticipated games of the early 2000s and went on to pioneer the use of physics in video games. The game received two DLC sequel episodes in 2006 and 2007. However, the franchise has yet to receive new content since then, outside of the Portal spin-off series....

The sixth week of the Grandmasters Tour for Hearthstone wrapped up with many predictable results in shielding, bans, and matchups. As players now realize, the most popular classes remain Priest, Druid, Shaman, Hunter, and Paladin. Warrior is still popping up, but is seeing less inclusion in lineups as the nerfs to Dr. Boom finally appear to have caught up with the control archetype. While the meta feels stable now, Ragnaros and other Wild cards will be back to shake things up in only a matter of days....

Digital Devolver has been known to deliver some pretty crazy titles, ranging in everything from talking bananas to human anatomy “lessons.” Silly is what the publisher does best, constantly adding games that fit its mold. The latest addition to the library of games is Heave Ho, available now for the Nintendo Switch and PC from developer Le Cartel Studio. Heave Ho is a perfect addition to Digital Devolver’s catalog, bringing simple, yet incredibly amusing gameplay that is fun enough for single players, but thrives as a couch co-op party game....

It’s always nice when a game receives additional graphical updates years after launching. In this case, Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice fans got a pleasant surprise with new RTX support for ray tracing and DLSS. The game has gotten not only the latter two tech, but it also received support for AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution (FSR). PC players also now have access to other recent enhancements that arrived on Xbox, with better level of detail, materials, and particles....

A handful of teases and a couple of leaks later, EA has formally unveiled The Sims 4’s new wedding-themed Game Pack with first official details and a frankly adorable new trailer; it’s called My Wedding Stories and launches for PC and consoles next Thursday, 17th February. The bulk of My Wedding Stories was accurately leaked at the tail-end of last week, but for those of you not perusing Eurogamer late into Friday night, the gist is that it gives players the tools needed to craft a surprisingly comprehensive wedding experience for their Sims - right from the proposal all the way through to vow renewals many years later....

Hideo Kojima, the famed director behind the Metal Gear series and Death Stranding, has an obvious passion for TV and film. His games focus heavily on lengthy cinematics and dialogue, and he recently gained a strong penchant for hiring celebrity actors for his leading roles. With this in mind, it’s no surprise that before he entered game development, Kojima wanted to make films. That dream eluded him for a while, but now it looks like it will finally become a reality....

After the leak from a couple of days ago, Warner has finally officially announced HITMAN 2. This is a follow-up to HITMAN so expect similar gameplay but with new “breathing environments” but this time there are no episodic releases, it’s a single full game purchase. Once again players will be heading to exotic locations around the globe including Miami which is mentioned in the blurb. Agent 47 will be tasked hunt the elusive Shadow Client and unravel his militia....

Only five days remain before the grand finale of Fortnite’s extended tenth season wraps up in a sendoff of potentially world-shaking proportions. But that’s plenty of time for players to take on a few more side-objectives before the battle royale gameplay resets for Season 11, and Epic Games is offering up plenty of hidden items for them to find as part of the “Out of Time” overtime mission set available now....

Fortnite fans have spotted a sneaky Lord of the Rings Easter egg in-game, sparking speculation of a fresh crossover. The potential tease can be found on one of the Fortnite island’s beaches, where a small-scale replica of the Helm’s Deep castle can be seen. For starters, let’s look at the Easter egg itself. Epic Games has been slowly building this little castle over the course of the latest season, via subtle map changes over the past couple of months....

Epic Games announced the latest tournament coming to its battle royale Fortnite, and it’s not a contest to bludgeon each other until only one player remains. It’s a fishing derby! (via Twinfinite) Chapter 2 introduced a new battle pass which features an achievement-style system to award experience points for activities and actions in the new world. Players are now able to zoom across the water with motorboats and swim to safety, but those who want to chill out and enjoy the sound of birdsong and the titter of automatic rifles in the distance can fish at designated fishing spots....
