Fortnite Chapter 2 has been out for a few weeks now and fans of Chapter 1 are certain to love this welcome update. The most exciting new addition to Fortnite is perhaps the entirely new map which promises a whole new range of aquatic challenges. For one of this week’s Dockyard Deal challenges, players must jump a motorboat through different rings of fire. Players only need to jump through three to complete the challenge but all told there are eight flaming rings stationed across the map....

Fortnite players have been pretty miffed the past 24 hours or so, with server issues pulling the massively popular shooter offline for many. Developer Epic Games is only too well aware of this, and has decided to make amends by offering a number of freebies. First up, the Battle Royale version of Fortnite will be offering plays the chance to pick up a free Back Bling gift this weekend. Epic Games has released the first-ever major update of the Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4 called v22.10 for its battle royale mode. The latest patch sees the addition of a new weapon called Cobra DMR, and players have been given a chance once again to swing with the Grapple Gloves in the latest Fortnite version. Actress Maisie Williams has had an idea about how Fortnite’s tiered loot could be swapped for a more measured strategy in the battle royale (via Comic Book). “what if you could upgrade 5 terrible guns for a purple or golden gun? a little treat for all the passive players who avoid confrontation by any means necessary,” said the actress in a post to Twitter, plus a trio of pretty emojis. Mass Effect Legendary Edition, the remastered collection of the original trilogy, might be making its way to Xbox Game Pass soon. Polish website XGP snapped a shot of the Legendary Edition brandishing the Game Pass logo. However, it might not be the only Electronic Arts property making its way to the service. Recently, XGP noticed that Lost in Random was also listed for Game Pass. Neither of these are on the service right now, but there’s a chance it won’t be that way for long....

A new fanmade device allows you to play Game Boy Advance games on HDTVs. A YouTuber by the name of Woozle has been posting videos of a device he calls the GBA Consolizer. This peripheral looks like it lay on top of a Game Boy Advance’s screen, but it is actually effectively replacing the device’s screen. In fact, you actually have to do some smoldering in order to properly hook it up....

Project Soul and CD Projekt RED have released a new behind-the-scenes video highlighting the inclusion of The Witcher hero Geralt in SoulCalibur VI. Both developers were keen to make sure that the gravelly-voiced swordsman ‘moves, feels, and plays like Geralt from The Witcher 3,’ although it was still necessary to ‘go back to the drawing board’ as it’s his first appearance outside of The Witcher and is appearing in a fighting game to boot....

I played a little bit of Ghostrunner when the demo went live during the Steam Game Festival. It was a short ride, but damn was it impressive. Like a first-person Hotline Miami crossed with Metal Gear Rising, Ghostrunner is all about slicing and dicing. And doing do as fast as you can while enemies assault you with their fancy-ass long-range weapons. It was great, and I wanted more. Thankfully, it looks like I won’t have to wait too long....

GOG has reinstated Blade Runner: ScummVM edition following a fan outcry. Last month, Nightdive Studios released its critically-panned remaster of Westwood Studios’ classic point-and-click adventure, delisting the popular fan-made effort in the process. While buying the Enhanced Edition from GOG also got you the original version, fans slammed the troubled remaster in user reviews, giving it an overall rating of 1.5 stars out of five. “The decision to handle the release on GOG this way, in what we feel offers the greatest value for fans of this game, was made with input from multiple parties,” GOG said at the time....

SkyBox Labs has announced that it is co-developing Halo Infinite with 343 Industries, having previously collaborated with the studio on Halo 5: Forge for Windows 10 and the Xbox One X-powered version of Halo 5: Guardians. The Vancouver-based code house appears to have its fingers in a number of pies with Halo Infinite’s production, confirming it’s aiding 343 on ‘features across the game including AI, gameplay, networking, and cutting-edge graphics features....
