Today Sony Santa Monica confirmed that God of War Ragnarok will get a photo mode, but not immediately. The developer announced on Twitter that the ability to take spiffy screenshots with all the bells and whistles will be added after the game’s launch. More details have been promised but they will come at a later time, closer to when Sony plans to release the new mode. No further information was provided, so we’ll have to wait and see....
Today Shift Up and Level Infinite announced that the game passed a downloads milestone, while a new trailer has been released. First of all, we learn that the game has achieved 10 million downloads worldwide. In order to celebrate, the developers have sent all players 10 Advanced Recruit Vouchers. More details on the upcoming release of Grand Theft Auto 5 and GTA Online for PlayStation 5 and Xbox series X have been revealed by Rockstar. One of the most notable points is Rockstar’s migration plan for GTA Online. “PS4 and Xbox One players will be able to transfer both their GTA 5 Story Mode progress and their current GTA Online characters and progression to PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, or across console platforms, with a one-time migration for each,” Rockstar writes....

In a way that sounds worse than the reality, the showrunner behind the Paramount+ Halo TV series is planning to leave after wrapping the first season. According to a report by Variety, showrunner Steven Kane is currently handing the post-production process for the show. After that’s finished, he won’t come back if a second season gets greenlit. Kane was a part of a two-person team. A co-showrunner along with Kyle Killen, both were involved in the series’ production at the start....
There’s an Onimusha anime in the works for Netflix, Capcom has announced. This adaptation of Capcom’s dormant samurai action series is produced by Sublimation Inc., the same company that handled the Dragon’s Dogma series that was streamed on Netflix in 2020, and is directed by Takashi Miike (Audition, Ichi the Killer, 13 Assassins). Details are scarce, but Capcom said the anime has “3DCG” animated characters with hand-drawn backgrounds. Protagonist Miyamoto Musashi is modeled on Toshihiro Mifune, the Japanese actor famous for appearing in multiple Akira Kurosawa films who died 25 years ago....
