No online game is complete without the addition of fishing, and Genshin Impact is getting the ever-important mechanic soon. The ability to obtain and collect aquatic creatures is a staple for many RPG games, so it’s about time that Genshin players get the ability to fish. Fishing is just the cherry on top of a long list of other leaks by relatively reputable leakers. However, miHoYo has not formally confirmed any of these leaks, so take them with a grain of salt....

Tropico 6, the Banana Republic city building game, received its first DLC and a new update today. Developed by Limbic Entertainment and released earlier this year, Tropico 6 has already seen several free content updates this year. Now, The Llama of Wall Street DLC sees El Prez doing his best Leonardo DiCaprio impression, while the Seguridad Social update adds some other free content for aspiring dictators. Cthulhu seems to be all the rage these days, as we’ve gotten quite a few games lately based on Lovecraftian imagery. It’s hard to say why exactly. A new video for God of War Ragnarok covers exactly what goes into crafting Kratos in the games. There’s definitely more than you might expect when it comes to getting everyone’s favorite gruff dad just right. The video gathers Kratos’ English voice actor and motion capture performer Christopher Judge as well as a few of the other voice actors for Kratos responsible for dubbing him in other languages. These other languages and voice actors are Brazilian & Portuguese (Ricardo Juarez), Arabic (Hesham El Shazly), and Japanese (Kenta Miyake)....

Sony has announced that God of War moved over a whopping 3.1 million copies worldwide in just three days. Unsurprisingly, this makes the Norse-inspired adventure game the fastest-selling first party game on PlayStation 4 to date. It’s well deserved too, as God of War is an absolutely stonking game that effortlessly revitalizes the blood-splattering franchise after a five-year hiatus. As previously reported, God of War is currently sitting pretty behind only Far Cry 5 in terms of the biggest week-one sales of 2018 so far....

Gord, coming from the new Polish developer Covenant, is an eclectic blend of genres. It mixes city building, survival, strategy, and action-adventure elements with procedurally generated gameplay. Naturally, such a mash up of genres and subgenres isn’t new. However, what will immediately catch your eye isn’t the gameplay of Gord, but its theme. The game is a dark fantasy inspired by Slavik folklore, with an emphasis on dark. Led by prior CD Projekt Red producer Stan Just, Gord will be out on PC via Steam in 2022....

Blizzard has revealed the final solo adventure in Hearthstone’s Year of the Dragon will be Galakrond’s Awakening. Epic Games’ Fortnite notched up an earth-shattering 3.4 million concurrent players over the weekend, breaking the previous record held by PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds. By comparison, PUBG Corp’s every-man-for-himself shooter previously attracted an equally impressive 3.2 million concurrent players on Steam. Still, it wasn’t the easiest of rides for Epic Games, with the milestone weekend dogged by server downtime. ‘The extreme load caused 6 different incidents between Saturday and Sunday, with a mix of partial and total service disruptions to Fortnite,’ said the developer....

A professional Fortnite player – Jarvis Kaye, known as FaZe Jarvis and a member of esports team FaZe Clan – has been banned from the game for life because he used cheat software (via Sky News). Epic Games hit Jarvis with the strict sanction when he was found to be using an aimbot in a casual Solos match on an alternate account. Because aimbots provide an automated assist in the game, the player has an unmerited advantage against their competitors....
