Xbox Game Pass is a treasure trove of great games and discoveries, and anime games are getting a big spotlight. Xbox’s show at Tokyo Game Show 2022 showed off some excellent games coming to Game Pass some time in the future, including the popular anime fighters Guilty Gear: Strive and Blazblue: Cross Tag Battle. Of course, Persona fans were treated to a triple threat announcement. Three of the most popular Persona games will soon join Game Pass: Persona 3 Portable, Persona 4 Golden, and Persona 5 Royal....

Earlier this week, 343 Industries confirmed that split-screen local co-op in Halo Infinite has been cancelled outright - so players are now doing it themselves. “In order to improve and accelerate ongoing live service development - and to better address player feedback and quality of life updates - we have reallocated studio resources and are no longer working on local campaign split-screen co-op,” 343 said at the time, dashing the hopes of players who’d been patiently waiting to couch co-op the campaign with pals....

For some reason, the Hard Rock Cafe is very concerned with teen gaming habits. On the surface, there doesn’t seem to be a lot of overlap between gaming addiction and the Hard Rock Cafe’s usual fare of reasonable food with a classic rock flare. It’s been in the pipeline a while, but Cradle Games is nearly ready to drop their Kickstarted Souls-like, Hellpoint. I was able to get a sneak peek at the game early, and while it’s very reverential, I think fans of the subgenre will feel very much at home in many ways. Hell is home to me Hellpoint begins with your character, who appears to be an android with a mechanical body and human face, waking up on the space station Irid Novo....

Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 2 is all about secret agents, and it asks players to make a choice between its Ghost and Shadow factions. Thus far, this decision has been primarily a cosmetic concern, but Epic Games has hinted that this will not be the case for the entirety of the season. While the developer has not yet shared specific details on what it plans to do with these factions over time, a new leak suggests that a war between the two sides may indeed be on the way....

The Foundation is Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 1’s special skin, like The Cube Queen and Superman in past seasons. The Foundation is voiced by Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson and, alongside his skin, you’ll be able to unlock a selection of Foundation themed cosmetic items, such as the Foundation’s Mantle. Arriving halfway through the season, thankfully there is just a single challenge needed to unlock the skin itself. Note this particular challenge is no longer able to be completed....

A new update has been rolled out into Fortnite Season 7. The alien parasite eggs have continued to spread throughout the map and the IO guards are continuing to assemble. The situation is definitely becoming more tense as the season continues to progress. Fortnite patch v17.20 has rolled out the highly anticipated preferred item slot feature and made some bug fixes. Starting from now, you can finally sort your loot into designated slots....

Forza Horizon 4 is getting a Lego expansion, which brings a new setting, called Lego Valley, to the game. Forza Horizon 5 has only been officially out for just over 24 hours, and it already seems to be on course for having one of most successful Xbox game launches of all time. That’s according to figures tweeted out by Xbox head Phil Spencer earlier today. He’s revealed that the open world racer has already welcomed more than 4.5 million players across PC, cloud and console. He went on to state that that gives the game the honour of the largest launch day for any Xbox Game Studios game, with a peak concurrent userbase three times that of the highest set by Forza Horizon 4....

There seems to be a neverending supply of Warhammer licensed games, but for Frontier Developments’ upcoming real-time strategy title, Warhammer Age of Sigmar, fans would have to wait a little longer after it was announced that it has been delayed into the second half of 2023. This news comes via Frontier’s latest interim results and trading update, pushing a game that was originally scheduled for the early half of 2023 to the latter half....

Frostpunk is getting its final DLC expansion soon, and it’s titled On The Edge. Previously known as the mysterious TVADGYCGJR, the upcoming DLC was finally revealed by 11 bit studios, and will be set after the campaign. The trailer isn’t much to go on for now, but fortunately, 11 bit studios elaborated a little. Unlike the previous Frostpunk expansion, The Last Autumn, which served as a prequel to the game, this DLC continues the story....

Arcade-style undead/zombie/parasite-infested slaying is back for Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D, and the game plays as good as it looks. Nintendo and Capcom had Mercenaries 3D available for hands-on at GDC 2011, and playing it proved that next-gen console action can work on the small screen. The demo build has Chris, Jill, Jack Krauser and Hunk available to play, and two maps: “Public Assembly” (Resident Evil 5) and “Village” (Resident Evil 4)....

The Coalition, the studio behind the upcoming Gears 5, released the full list of achievements for the game alongside news that it has gone gold. The game comes to PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Game Pass next month. Gears 5 will release on September 6th and features gameplay over five different modes. The modes cover single player, multiplayer, and co-op; and the list of achievements applies to all of them. The team has labeled them so fans can see which modes they will need to play in order to unlock each one....
