Microsoft has announced that the people who’ve preordered the digital version of Forza Motorsport 7 can now start their pre-load. The pre-load went up earlier this morning, and I’ll warn you now it’s quite the hefty download. The PC version will be 45GB initially, and after the day one patch it’ll be almost 100GB at launch.The Xbox One version will be 67GB in total after the 45GB install from the disc, and this is because it doesn’t have the 4K textures pack....

Stardock has officially announced that Galactic Civilizations IV will leave Steam Early Access on April 26, adding to the long-running series. Gears of War 4 will offer free DLC maps, with new maps rotating in and out of operation to keep things fresh. New DLC maps will launch each month, rotating into play and knocking others from the playlist. This means all players will have access to whatever maps are currently in use. However, the downside is that a favourite map of yours may drop out of operation. The Coalition’s solution is to offer all maps as paid DLC for use in private matches....

Gears 5 has been built with accessibility features as a central priority during its development, as stated in an interview with IGN at Gamescom. The Coalition design director Ryan Cleven expanded upon the features integrated in the next Gears game, which include subtitles, narration for menus, colourblindness mode, mature content filters, and swapping button taps to holds instead. Along with these, there will also be a lock-on aiming system for players who can’t use both sticks at the same time....

Fnatic has decided to permanently sign in-game leader Maikil “Golden” Selim to its Counter-Strike: Global Offensive roster following a strong performance with the team in 2019. Golden, who had previously played for Fnatic in 2017, has been on loan from Cloud9 since September of last year, following the departure of Richard “Xizt” Landström and Simon “twist” Eliasson. However, he was not signed to a permanent deal, with Fnatic likely wanting to keep their options for IGL open in case the move failed to produce results....

Sony and Polyphony Digital are in full teasing mode about the upcoming update for Gran Turismo 7. Producer Kazunori Yamauchi himself took to Twitter to tease a “25th-anniversary update” coming to the game. The original game was released first in Japan on December 23, 1997 (the western release came in May the following year), so we’re just one month away from the big anniversary. Halo support studio Certain Affinity has said it is “deepening” its relationship with the series’ main developer 343 Industries, and is now at work on “evolving” Halo Infinite further. Certain Affinity has assisted with Halo development as far back as Halo 2, where it worked on extra maps for that game. Subsequently, it has served as a co-developer for 343 on Halo Waypoint, Reach, Halo 4 and Halo: The Master Chief Collection....

Developer 343 Industries shed a bit more light on seasons coming to Halo Infinite multiplayer in a recent Inside Infinite blog post. While the team wasn’t ready to dish out all the goods, in a brief interview we did learn how long seasons will last.
