Epic Games has announced that jetpacks will be added to Fortnite’s Battle Royale incarnation in the near future. Users logging into the game today were greeted with a brief menu (via PC Gamer) confirming the next slew of updates for the game, which features a jetpack icon set against a gold background, something which is typically reserved for legendary gear. Right now Epic is keeping mum on any further details on Fortnite’s jetpacks, though it does promise the feature is ‘coming soon....

This evening Epic was deploying the latest Fortnite patch but it didn’t go quite as well as expected. Epic has released am update on the current situation but it doesn’t sound good and the servers could be down for some time. The 2.3 update adds quite a few changes to Battle Royale and Save the World including the addition of the Chug Jug which gives max health and shields over 15 seconds....

The Heavy Sniper Rifle is now available to snap up in Fortnite, developer Epic Games has confirmed in a post on the game’s official website. Battle Royale users can get their hands on the weapon as part of Fortnite update 5.21, and it’s a whopper. Not only does it cause huge amounts of damage to fleshy opponents, but it can even blow a hole through structures to boot. On the Save the World side of things, Epic has added a new face in the shape of Thora, a Constructor who is capable of trapping husks and controlling areas in critical situations....

New ratings for Syphon Filter 1, 2, Dark Mirror, and Logan’s Shadow have appeared in Korea, for both PlaySation 5 and PlayStation 4. This update, and the timing of it, suggests all of these games may well be making their way to Sony’s upcoming Premium tier subscription package, which promises access to a catalogue of “beloved classic games”.
