Intel Extreme Masters Katowice 2019 has partnered up with Epic Games to bring Fortnite to the big leagues. The event will host two weekend tournaments for the popular battle royale, offering a combined prize pool of $600,000 USD. There will be 200 “players and influencers” vying for the cash. “Fortnite is a global game, and there are amazing, passionate players all around the globe,” said Rob Hodson, Esports Manager at Epic Games....

DC hero Wonder Woman is the next pop culture icon to make their way to battle royale shooter Fortnite, Epic Games has announced. As revealed by the Fortnite blog, she’ll be available either in her classic guide or with an Armored variant in the item shop from August 19. Her set includes a Golden Eagle Wings Glider, Athena’s Battleaxe and Diana’s Mantle Back Bling. There’ll also be a DC Trinity Loading Screen with fellow DC heroes Superman and Batman....

Epic Games and Capcom are teaming up to bring Cammy and Guile from Street Fighter into battle royale shooter Fortnite. Both characters will be available in the Item Shop from this Saturday, August 7. Guile will have two variants, with his classic green fatigues costume and a beach-ready ‘Glistening Guile’ variant and KO Back Bling. Cammy meanwhile has her own classic outfit given a Fortnite tweak, a Tactical Cammy Variant and a Borealis Backer Back Bling....

Fallout 76 now has an impressive 13.5 million players, Bethesda has announced. Recounting the past 12 months for the online-focused post-apocalyptic role-playing game, Bethesda said 13.5 million players had dipped into Appalachia over the course of 2022. “Fallout 76 has grown significantly over the past year, with players worldwide experiencing all sort of happenings across Appalachia from travelling roadshows to extraterrestrial invasions!” Bethesda said. Fallout 76’s popularity will no-doubt have benefited significantly from its availability on Microsoft’s subscription service Game Pass, which it launched on in July 2020....

Bethesda confirmed that GhostWire: Tokyo is still in development, after the departure of creative director Ikumi Nakamura in September 2019 (via Push Square).
