Batman spin-off Gotham Knights got a fresh showing at Gamescom Opening Night Live this evening, with a new trailer and a new release date. Flashy footage from the game gave us our first proper look at Harley Quinn, who looks to be a major antagonist for Gotham Knights’ four heroes, alongside Mr Freeze, Clayface and the Court of Owls. The trailer concluded with the reveal of a new launch date: 21st October, four days earlier than previously planned....

Fans who were disappointed in the latest Aliens vs. Predator game (check out our review) may have reason to rejoice once more. The Gearbox developed game, Aliens: Colonial Marines has not been cancelled and is still in production. Alan Pritchard, SEGA West’s Vice President of Marketing and Sales confirmed in an interview with Game Informer that Colonial Marines is still being worked on. Developer Rockstar Games has revealed that Grand Theft Auto: Online‘s forthcoming Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 versions will offer unique upgrades to select vehicles when it launches later this year. Revealing the news in a tweet, the company didn’t reveal too much more detail, only saying the upgrades would include “all new speed improvements.” It also didn’t reveal precisely which vehicles would get the upgrades, but did confirm they would only be available on the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions of the game....

Shidra in the Worldpillar wants you to get past the Servant’s Path and the Carven Palace just to reach the Garden. You need to activate the elevator and defeat the Shapely Fidus boss to obtain the self-pull/grapple ability. At the bottommost section is a Nervepass that lets you return to the Worldpillar, but the passageway further down leads to the Garden itself (which has a quest item for Shidra). After Sony’s recent announcement that some PSN services would be returning we were hoping that the impact of the April 19 hack of the PlayStation Network would be waning. Not so. Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft, a digital card game set in the Warcraft universe, is now available to download on iPhones and Android smartphones, Activision Blizzard has announced. Fortnite has added yet another string to its bow of accomplishments, with the Epic Games title surpassing League of Legends as the most watched video game on Twitch. The battle royale title achieved the milestone in only the past few weeks, with Fortnite streams collectively notching up 5,014 years, 110 days in terms of viewership. By comparison, League of Legends raked in 4,538 years and 26 days, and has rarely up to this point slipped below pole position....

Epic Games has rolled out the second content update for Fortnite patch 7.10, with the Boom Box now available in the battle royale version of the popular shooter. The new item is capable of dishing out structure damage over a large area with its thumping beats, although it’s possible to stop the carnage by simply shooting the Boom Box itself. Save the World players meanwhile receive a new Pain Train Assault Rifle, which does what it says on the tin....

A new “Army of Darkness” update has now arrived for free, transporting players to the new map of Castle Kandar, together with two new weapons, new premium cosmetics, and an interesting single-player Exploration mode.
