Next week, players will finally get a chance to experience Google Stadia, a game streaming platform that the technology giant announced earlier this year. While there have been a number of details revealed since the announcement of Google Stadia, one thing that has been left unaddressed is the full extent of the games that will be available at launch. However, that has now changed, as Google has just released a complete list of Stadia launch titles....

Sony is continuing the promotion of Gran Turismo 7 all over the world, and today the Asian branch of the company released five new videos. The videos showcase four racing drivers (Claire Jedrek from Singapore, Marlon Stockinger from the Philippines, Pete Thongchua from Thailand, and Jazeman Jaafar from Malaysia) and car collector Chin Jit Pyng as they talk about the game and their passion. Incidentally, the videos feature the “supercar vending machine” built in Singapore and showcased yesterday....

Sony Interactive Entertainment and Polyphony Digital detailed the upcoming update for their popular racing game Gran Turismo 7. The update, which was teased by producer Kazunori Yamauchi himself a few days ago, has been officially announced via the official site and comes tomorrow, Dec. 15. It’s numbered 1.27. It’ll include five new cars, the Alfa Romeo Giulia GTAm ’20, the Bugatti Chiron ’16, the Chevrolet Corvette C8 Stingray ’20, the Toyota Celica GT-FOUR Rally Car (ST205) ’95, and the previously-revealed Ferrari Vision Gran Turismo....

One of the most popular and beloved video games in history is Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. It featured a ridiculously large map that included three full cities, desert lands, forests, a countryside, and a mountain. Players could take their character and customize them with haircuts, new clothes, and more. That customizable protagonist was Carl “CJ” Johnson. He was a member of the Grove Street Families gang and they were the group that you followed as you progressed through the game....

Grand Theft Auto 5 now features ray-tracing on both PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, thanks to the game’s new 1.64 update that’s available to download now. The patch adds ray-traced reflections when playing using the game’s 30fps Fidelity Mode, allowing for details such as vehicles and characters to be shown on reflective surfaces such as windows and in water. Fly a helicopter past a skyscraper and you’ll now see your ride reflected in its glass....

Capcom seems to be heading towards another great year in 2020 with the Resident Evil 3 remake set to release in April, starring Jill Valentine. Honoring her latest return, Jill has received an updated appearance, rounding out the protagonists who have evolved in design through different generations much like the monsters and viruses fought over the years. In the first Resident Evil games, character design was limited by the technology of the time....

Rockstar Games has shoved a new Grand Theft Auto Online update out of the garage this afternoon, with the flashy Benefactor Schlagen GT sports car now available to snap up at Legendary Motorsport. Complementing this is the Benefactor Tee, which is available through January 28 for everyone who plays GTA Online during this time. There’s also a massive 50% cash bonus on all Import/Export missions, while Special Cargo Sales are offering Double GTA$ rewards....

GTFO has been a title on many gamers’ radar since its announcement at The Game Awards in 2017. GTFO is a four-player co-op first-person shooter from the creators of the Payday franchise. A new update for Halo: The Master Chief Collection went live today and adds a “new” Firefight mode alongside other additions and changes for the almost eight-year-old package of games. The biggest addition in the update is the fan-favorite FloodFight Firefight mode for Halo 3: ODST, which added the Flood enemy to the wave-based cooperative mode. 343 Industries said that the Flood received new upgrades in this returning mode, such as the little parasites being accompanied by a dense fog and the ability to take over vehicles and their weapons....

The engines are warming up on the game Disintegration, the new shooter game from Halo co-creator Marcus Lehto and his relatively new studio V1 Interactive. The game is opening its doors to the wider public for the first time this week, with a closed technical beta starting Tuesday, January 28 and transitioning into a full open beta on January 31. Despite Disintegration being the first game from V1 Interactive, fans of Bungie’s Halo games and even current fans of Destiny 2 would be remiss to not pay attention to Disintegration....

343 Industries has announced that it will be shutting down online services for the Xbox 360 versions of its Halo titles next year, in order to focus resources on Halo: The Master Chief Collection and next year’s Halo Infinite. The games effected include Halo: Reach, Halo 4, Halo 3, Halo 3: ODST, Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary, Halo: Spartan Assault and Halo Wars and will all have their online services shut down by approximately December 2021....

Blizzard has revealed the first details for the next Hearthstone expansion, Scholomance Academy. “Class will officially be in session early August with the arrival of Scholomance Academy, the next expansion for Blizzard Entertainment’s smash-hit digital card game, Hearthstone,” reads a press release from Blizzard. “Within the hallowed halls of this fabled college of magic, Students will encounter 135 all-new cards, designed to supercharge the game with sorcerous synergies and dazzling displays of arcane splendor....

Henry Cavill will not return to Netflix’s The Witcher show, Variety has confirmed. Some had speculated (hoped?) Cavill would reprise his much-loved role as Geralt after Warner Bros. ditched him as Superman. In October, Netflix announced The Witcher Season 4 and Cavill’s exit from the show. Season 3 has yet to air on the streaming service, but we know Cavill will be replaced as titular monster-hunter Geralt of Rivia by Liam Hemsworth, most famous for playing Gale Hawthorne in The Hunger Games movie series....

The Life Is Strange: Remastered Collection is quickly approaching its February release date, and while the Switch port has been pushed back yet again, Square Enix and Dontnod have provided a quick look at some of the improvements we can expect from the release. Aside from the graphics, which obviously make the games look better than their original releases, the most impressive bit has to be the improved facial animations. One key criticism of the original games was that Max would often have a blank look on her face, unable to capture any sort of emotion that was being reflected in the story....

Crafty shooter Fortnite is following in the footsteps of other games this week and has launched a new Christmas-themed update for both the free-to-play sides of the game and the PvE Save the World portion, as well as introducing a new Battle Pass for the Battle Royale mode. The release marks the start of Season Two of Fortnite Battle Royale, and brings along a limited time snowball themed rocket launcher, a festive Battle Bus and ‘other gifts’ as well as a ton of other fixes and additions....

Epic Games has hinted at a possible collaboration with Among Us creators Innersloth, after crediting the studio as the inspiration for a recently-added Fortnite mode. Despite the Impostors mode’s launch back in August, Epic only gave an official nod to its inspiration this week. The Fortnite v18.20 update acknowledged the team in its patch notes, stating the Impostors mode was “inspired by Among Us from Innersloth!” In addition to fans, Among Us programmer Gary Porter also pointed out the similarities on Twitter....
