Epic Games has announced that two of its most popular series are playing together, as Gears of War has arrived in Fortnite. From today, players can pick up the Marcus Fenix and Kait Diaz outfits from the battle royale game’s Item Shop. Genesis is a new MOBA available exclusively on PlayStation 4. The game plays very similarly to League of Legends, to the point that its characters often feel like LoL rip-offs. The most apparent of these is Apollo the archer. He’s the first hero you’ll play as, thanks to a tutorial that feels very similar to the original LoL tutorial where you controlled Ashe. Like Ashe, Apollo is a physical damage carry with an ultimate that shoots an giant arrow to snipe enemies from a distance....

Goat Simulator 3’s Mandatory Holiday Update is now here. The free update includes a host of “festive goodies to ramp up that holiday spirit”, including Santa hats, elf outfits, and “weapons that shoot colourful lights”. PlayStation has announced it’s holding a new State of Play broadcast centred around the upcoming Gran Turismo 7 this Wednesday. The PlayStation Blog promises us the event will include 30 minutes of new footage during the broadcast. It’ll include an in-depth look at the modes and the all-important gameplay features of the long-running series. Expect more of the 420 strong car roster and the those 90 track routes too. From November 27, Gran Turismo Sport players will be able to download a patch that adds three new cars to the game: Shelby Cobra 47, Audi R18, and ISO Rivolta Zagato VGT. As well as that, a monstrous update is coming in December that adds an offline single player mode called GT League. GT League is based on the old GT Mode from older Gran Turismo games where you race in a variety of cup competitions and endurance races....

Halo Infinite will include support for PC ray tracing in March 2023. The announcement was made during yesterday’s AMD Presents:together we advance_gaming livestream, in which the next generation of AMD GPUs was revealed. The news was dropped by Scott Herkelman, senior vice president and general manager of AMD’S Graphics Business Unit. “Halo Infinite will support ray traced shadows across Arena and Big Team Battle Modes,” Herkelman said. Those with one of the newly announced RX 7000 series GPUs can also expect to see “improved lighting, sharper shadows, and increased performance” with ray tracing acceleration....

When it comes to the Hitman franchise, I consider myself a lapsed fan. I adored the first three games in the series (the ones from the early 2000s), but I focused on other titles in the stealth-action genre after that point. Then, when Hitman (2016) and Hitman 2 (2018) came out, I decided to grab them only during sales. Still, it goes without saying that these two games reinvigorated my interest in the franchise....
