A job listing for 2018’s PS4 God of War developer Santa Monica Studio has revealed that it is working on a new, unannounced game via a job recruitment post on the company’s official Twitter account. The post says the studio is looking for an art director “for the development of a new unannounced title” which presumably rules out the as-yet-untitled God of War sequel (tentatively known as God of War: Ragnarok) that was revealed during the PlayStation 5 showcase back in September....
Santa Monica Studios has been hard at work lately, with potential new titles like Legendz and the sequel to 2018’s God of War reboot on their way in the undetermined future. Considering the commercial and critical performance of God of War, it wouldn’t be out of the question to assume that the majority of the development studio’s focus is on the popular franchise. However, with a God of War sequel still floating around in that uncertain zone where the future of the series is still yet to be confirmed, there is little to satiate fans looking for a look at the next game....
Google has denied rumors that it’s shutting down Google Stadia. The rumor started when the Twitter account Killed by Google posted a tweet about Stadia’s future. The tweet states that a regional manager for Google had tipped them off that people in the company are “beginning their exit plan.” KbG also claims that the company would warn users 30-60 days before the service was discontinued sometime this summer. However, it appears as though the source for this rumor may not be reliable....

Polyphony Digital has rolled Gran Turismo Sport update 1.29 out of the garage, bringing with it nine new cars including some swanky Italian and Super GT motors. The PlayStation 4-exclusive racer has also received a new track in the shape of the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, which serves as one of Spain’s biggest race tracks as well as the host of the country’s F1 Grand Prix. In addition, two new GT League events have arrived in the shape of MINI Challenge (Beginner League) and X2014 Nations Cup (Professional League)....

Grand Theft Auto V does not need an introduction. Half-Life: Alyx is widely considered one of VR’s greatest games to date, marking a triumphant return for a beloved and iconic video game franchise back in 2020. Like so many Valve games, Alyx’s source code supports modding, which prompted a group of talented individuals to create their very own expansion of the game. Paramount Plus has confirmed that the Halo TV series will finally debut on UK screens on June 22, the same day as the on-demand video service launches on these shores. The live action Halo TV series originally arrived in the US and other territories back in March. However, those of us in the UK had to wait a little longer as the streaming platform wasn’t available over here. Previously, 343 Industries declared the series would arrive in the summer....
This Happy! review contains no spoilers. When Syfy decided to transform Grant Morrison’s Happy! comic book series into a TV show, many were understandably taken aback. Hatsune Miku could only ever happen in Japan but now the singing synthesiser is coming to VR in Hatsune Miku VR. Degica will be releasing Hatsune Miku VR which is a new VR rhythm game developed by Crypton Future Media who are the brains behind the original Hatsune Miku. Degica says the game will include songs from “several Hatsune Miku artists”. This sounds like a complete nightmare but fans of the first Vocaloid will probably appreciate this one....
Hearthstone expansion The Grand Tournament will launch next Monday, August 24, Blizzard has confirmed. As previously announced, the expansion offers up 132 new cards featuring Azeroth’s finest knights and champions – available for players to craft, win or purchase. The DLC also offers up an all-new game board and the new Inspire game mechanic. Up until release players will be able to pre-purchase The Grand Tournament card packs in a special 50-pack bundle for £34....
Critically acclaimed actioner Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice is now available to grab on Xbox Game Pass, Microsoft has announced. Hellblade was originally released on PlayStation 4 and PC back in spring 2017, and rolled out for Microsoft’s flagship telly box earlier this year. What’s more, the game also supports Xbox One X, which means it’ll run at a higher frame rate and supports dynamic resolution scaling for up to 4K. Lovely....
The Game Awards came and went last night, featuring plenty of exciting new reveals, awards, and interruptions that are sure to have people talking for a while to come. Amidst all of the chaos, something that may have gone a bit under the radar to some viewers is the insane amount of money that Valve put out for the event in the giveaway department. Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is game with a lot of content, for better or worse. The story actually moves at a pace that would make the manga proud, but Kakarot stuffs itself silly with side content. If you’re someone who sinks hundreds of hours into a game, this is a godsend. If you really just want to get to the best bits and move on, well… Befitting such a large game, there are plenty of secrets players haven’t found yet....
