F1 2018 is set to launch later this month, and Codemasters has published some crucial information for PC players: the system requirements. After all, there’s no use getting excited about a game if your system can’t handle it. So, what are you going to need to have a smooth gameplay experience? Well, good news if you happen to have a lower end machine because the minimum system requirements for F1 2018 are surprisingly reasonable for a major 2018 release.

Just see for yourself:

MINIMUM SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS:

  • OS: 64bit Versions of Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 10
  • Processor: Intel Core i3 2130 or AMD FX 4300
  • Memory: 8 GB RAM
  • Graphics: Nvidia GT 640 or AMD HD 7750
  • DirectX: Version 11
  • Network: Broadband Internet connection
  • Storage: 50 GB available space
  • Sound Card: DirectX Compatible Soundcard
  • Additional Notes: Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system

For context, the GPU requirements list a Nvidia GT 640, which launched all the way back in 2012. But, if you want the ultimate gameplay experience, you’ll definitely need more beefy hardware than what’s mentioned above:

  • OS: 64bit Versions of Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 10
  • Processor: Intel Core i5 8600K or AMD Ryzen 5 2600X
  • Memory: 8 GB RAM
  • Graphics: Nvidia GTX 1060 or AMD RX 580
  • DirectX: Version 11
  • Network: Broadband Internet connection
  • Storage: 50 GB available space
  • Sound Card: DirectX Compatible Soundcard
  • Additional Notes:  Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system

F1 2018 will launch on PC, PS4 and Xbox One on August 24, 2018.
