Come the middle of the month, true heartbreaks will get underway as the Calamity brings forth memories of cherished loved ones. Taskforce members must free these figures of wizarding history from their Confoundables. One such figure includes Minerva McGonagal, which begs the question, will the wizarding community be getting a glimpse into the Professor’s lost love life?
February Community Day: February 23
February’s community day will offer a short reprieve from the month’s disenchanted tone. Usually, scarce Doxies and Leprechauns can be expected to run rampant, causing mischief alongside other Oddities. These troublesome magical creatures will need to be rounded up and returned to their rightful habitats in the wizarding world. This endeavor will be made easier by utilizing the event-long bonus applied to Tonics of Trace Detection.
Lost Love Brilliant Event Part 2: February 25–March 3
Concluding February’s morose timeline, SOS members must take on the somber task of laying to rest the memories of the most tragic romances. This will include facing Foundables such as the Mirror of Erised and Severus Snape.
Wizards Unite is undoubtedly sticking to a formula of two-part events broken up by community days and seasonal festivities, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. It provides the game with the sort of constant new content required for this genre.
The material itself boasts an abundance of nostalgia from wizarding lore, delivering it in a fresh and uniquely interactive way, which sustains the game’s core fanbase.
