Santa Monica Studio has released a new patch for PlayStation-exclusive adventure God of War Ragnarok.
It’s a much smaller patch than the previous one, with just two major items of note. Still, it should be available for the game now – so boot up your PlayStation to download it as soon as you can.
Alas, this patch doesn’t bring about the promised Photo Mode just yet. There’s also no addition of a New Game Plus so far, for those who’ve already completed the game.
Here’s those patch notes in full, care of Sony Santa Monica’s official website. As we said, they’re short – but sweet.
God of War Ragnarok v2.04 patch notes
General
- Fixed a case where some players were unable to change the difficulty level in-game.
Stability and Performance

Will God of War Ragnarok be an expansion?
No. God of War Ragnarok is a full-blown sequel to God of War (2018) originally released for the PlayStation 4.
Is God of War Ragnarok the last game?
Yes – but also no. Directors Cory Balrog and Eric Williams said in an interview with KaptainKube that Ragnarok will be the last game in the Norse mythology arc of God of War.
However, neither man would give a definitive answer whether this means we won’t see a God of War game set in a new mythology. For now, we’ll have to wait and see.
