It’s expected that both Sony and Microsoft will properly unveil their next-generation consoles within the next few months, and the companies will need games to showcase alongside the hardware. The Assassin’s Creed franchise is immediately recognizable and has mainstream appeal, so it seems like a safe bet to show off the power of the new consoles.
But before fans get too excited about Assassin’s Creed Ragnarok, we must caution that leaks about the game have been proven fake in the past. It’s entirely possible that’s the case here as well and the next Assassin’s Creed game will have a completely different setting.
