Fox has placed a pilot order for The Exorcist, based on William Blatty’s 1971 novel which also inspired the classic horror film of 1973.
The pilot intends to give the story a modern reinvention, and will follow the efforts of two different men in their attempts to rid a family of a demonic possession.
Jeremy Slater (The Lazarus Effect, Fantastic Four) has written the script for the pilot, which isn’t exactly filling us with hope.
