Fortnite is launching a brand new mode this week, Fortnite Creative, which will be available from December 6 for anyone with a battle pass.
In order to keep the more than 8.3 concurrent players interested in Fortnite, the game’s developers Epic are constantly changing and adding to what’s available. From something as small as new challenges each week to making wholesale changes to the map. Plus. the ongoing story that is constantly adapting from season to season.
The latest change, that will arrive along with season seven, may very well be the biggest to date. Epic is adding a whole new mode to Fortnite. It’s called Fortnite Creative, and on the surface, it looks a lot like the playground mode that is already available. It is actually so much more than that. Playground gives players and their friends free reign of the island, Creative will let them design an island of their very own.
Players who choose to delve into the world of Fortnite Creative will be presented with a completely blank canvas, reports IGN. That canvas can be filled with anything such as rocks, trees, even entire buildings. The creator, along with 15 other players, can then enter the island and do whatever they like. Race Quadcrashers, battle each other, or build as impressive a structure as your imagination will let you.
As is almost always the case with Fortnite, you don’t have long to wait to play this latest update. If you have a battle pass, it is due for release on December 6. That means it might well be available by the time you read this. If you don’t have a battle pass, you’ll have to wait until December 13 to play Fortnite Creative. Unless you are invited into a created island by someone with a battle pass, that is.
The best part about Fortnite Creative is no matter how much damage you and your friends do to your custom island, once you’re done, you can return it to how it looked before you landed. So do what you will. Go crazy. Because once you’re done laying waste to the map you can hit the reset button and do it all again. Now excuse us while we go and check whether it is available yet.
