Fortnite season 8 is just around the corner, and according to Epic Games’ latest teaser, the battle royale title is set to embrace a swashbuckling pirate theme.
There’s not an awful lot to go on right now, but the pirate hook and chatter about treasure, loot, and x marking the spot pretty much speaks for itself, right? Until then, keep in mind you can earn a free season 8 Battle Pass by polishing off 13 Overtime Challenges, so get cracking or you’ll miss your chance.
Fortnite has received a bit of competition lately from Apex Legends, which has done remarkably well for a title entering a pretty saturated market. Still, Fortnite probably doesn’t need to look over its shoulder just yet – it’s still the biggest thing on the planet right now.
