Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 2 is finally upon us, and it brings with it some drastic changes to the Battle Pass and challenges. Not only do Fortnite players have the usual batch of daily and weekly challenges to complete in the battle royale game, but now there’s a new set of special Deadpool Challenges that will most likely let players unlock the Merc With A Mouth as a special skin later in the season.

The first week of the Fortnite Deadpool challenges consist of two tasks. Presumably, the tasks will get more difficult as the weeks go on, though it’s possible that all of them will be as simple as this week’s. The only thing that Fortnite players might have trouble with is locating the Deadpool letter written to Epic Games, but otherwise the challenges for the first week are pretty self-explanatory.

1. Find the Deadpool Letter to Epic Games

The first thing Fortnite players will want to do is head to the Battle Pass menu. Here they can browse between challenges, the Mara skin customization, and the new Fortnite Battle Pass itself. It’s somewhat difficult to spot, but players may also notice a vent next to the stairs with a question mark above it. Move the cursor over to the vent and select it to be taken to a secret room that is presumably Deadpool’s hideout.

There are two things of interest in Deadpool’s hideout at the time of this writing. One is his computer, which keeps track of the Fortnite Deadpool challenges. And the other is the letter that’s in the pile of garbage on the ground. Highlight the letter and select it. Feel free to read Deadpool’s letter to Epic Games, and then select the computer to discover the second of the Deadpool challenges for this week.

2. Don’t Thank the Bus Driver

This is pretty self-explanatory, though some Fortnite players may think there’s some sort of trick to it. For those that don’t know, Fortnite made it possible to thank the bus driver many updates ago, which can be done by pressing the d-pad. Various challenges since then have revolved around thanking the bus driver, but this challenge asks players to do the exact opposite and jump out of the Battle Bus without thanking the driver.

To jump out of the Battle Bus without thanking the bus driver, simply press the jump button and don’t touch the d-pad. That’s really all there is to it. Players jump out of the battle bus without thanking the driver all the time, and may wind up completing this challenge without even trying to do so.

Fortnite is out now for iOS, Android, PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
