Fortnite’s rocket launch party should have been a peaceful event, where opponents struck a brief truce to enjoy the action without a shot being fired. Elemental_Ray had other ideas, apparently. Amnesia developer Frictional Games recently began teasing an upcoming project via a previously dead website. The mystery of this project grew larger recently with the reveal of what seems to be an ARG campaign tied to the upcoming title. As with most ARG campaigns, this one is a little weird, so you’ll need to bear with us as we break it down. Battleborn has had an rough lifespan, which is made all the more surprising when considering how well other Gearbox properties, such as the Borderlands series, had done by 2016. However, it seems that competition from other games in the genre, like Overwatch and Team Fortress 2, have brought Battleborn’s run to an early end. As a result of the underwhelming life of the game, Battleborn will be going offline as Gearbox begins discontinuing the services provided by the game....

With Gears 5 now less than two weeks away from releasing, the filesize for the upcoming third-person shooter has now been revealed. Gamers diving into The Coalition’s upcoming game on the Xbox One will need to clear at least 50.04GB to face the Locust horde, while those playing on PC will need 80GB of free space to install Gears 5. The sixth installment of the franchise is due to explore the origins of the Locust horde, with The Coalition promising fans an expansive, emotional campaign that hands the reigns of the main protagonist role to a female character....

During Geoff Keighley’s Gamescom Opening Night Live we got a new story trailer for The Coalition’s Gears 5. The trailer showed protagonist Kait and her Gears pals, and some explosions, and some Nine Inch Nails, and Cole (!). I’m very much looking forward to it; Gears of War 4 was a delight. Gears’ Rod Fergusson was on stage with Keighley to chat a little about the campaign, as well as the new Horde mode, which was shown off earlier in the day during the Inside Xbox show....

Some of the entries and their placements were expected while the presence of certain other titles was a little surprising. It’s official, Halo Infinite will indeed be launching on December 8, it’s been confirmed during Gamescom. Xbox and 343 Industries confirmed the news from earlier in the week during Gamescom’s Opening Night Live broadcast. At the same time, they also revealed the opening cinematic for Season One of the game’s multiplayer mode. Focusing on one Commander Agryna, we get a glimpse into her journey and how she comes to help lead the next generation of Spartans you’ll play as in the game’s opening season....

Despite some early promises, Halo Infinite will not have campaign co-op at launch — nor will it have Forge mode. In a lengthy development update video, Halo Infinite‘s head of creative, Joseph Staten, mentioned that the highly anticipated game is launching without those major features. This is likely the result of a shift in priorities following its delay. In a report by GamesRadar in July last year, developer 343 Interactive’s prior studio head, Chris Lee, said the game would have co-op at launch....

After streaming exclusively upon release on the Paramount+ streaming service, the first season of Showtime and 343 Industries’ big budget live action television adaptation of the ‘Halo’ series has finally arrived on home video with DVD, Blu Ray, 4K Blu Ray, and 4K Blu Ray Collectors Steel book releases.This review will be exclusively for the regular Blu Ray release of the first season, although, with the obvious exceptions of video and audio quality, there thankfully is not much difference between each home release of this first season....

Niantic Labs and Warner Bros have announced that mobile AR adventure Harry Potter: Wizards Unite is to close down. An announcement on the game’s website broke the news that the game will officially shut down on January 31, 2022. Meanwhile, the relevant parties will remove the game from the App Store, Google Play etc by December 6 2021. In-game purchases will also be disabled at this time. The statement didn’t reveal a specific reason for the closure....

The rumoured Harry Potter action-RPG is apparently progressing well, and will be revealed in late 2020 for a launch in 2021. The news comes from Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier, who claims to have spoken to two developers at Avalanche Software. The company, which also made the Disney Infinity series of games, is the one beavering away on the project. It’s slated to come to current generation and next generation platforms, and although this is all very enticing, we have to hold our Hippogriffs....

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare recently added the Tomogunchi watch to the game, allowing players to take care of and evolve their own digital pet. The Modern Warfare Tomogunchi pet can evolve into a variety of different adult creatures, ranging from characters like Ghost to a dragon, and the community is currently trying to figure out the steps to take to get each Tomogunchi evolution in the game.
